Oh come on are you seriously suggesting Carter is signing players with Smith in charge?
Come on Prince whether you rate Fin or not I don't think you really believe that.

Yes I heard Finn was a done deal even before we employed Brain Smith. I was praying for it to be a wind up back then
and I'm praying even harder now.

| Daryl Powell and Steve Gill must be ing themselves. We must be the first port of call when they're looking to free up space on their wage bill. It's too easy, we'll take anyone off their hands.
If this and the Gibson rumour are true, at what point did we become the place where they send their washed up, over the hill tripe when they've realised they could do better? And what will it take for us to realise that we can and flipping well should do better?!

Or perhaps the owner of his own town club has bust a gut trying his best to get the lad to come here, only to be told by his club that going to Wakefield and certain other clubs was not an option, has that ever crossed your mind? or maybe you prefer to come across with the sarcasm like one or two others on here, instead of looking for a sensible reason.

| Loving the positivity. I read it as 8/9 had signed and 4 had agreed terms but were waiting to sign until after the bulls game. So 3 out of a possible 12 have been announced and done on here are just full of misery. Christmas must be a right laugh at your gaffs

I can just picture the Hampshire family stood in the Wheldon road end cheering Ryan and Cas on.

| I have no problem with Finn signing.
Jeez what do we people want? Despite everything we aren't Leeds or Wigan FFS.
Money talks!

| Some real chips on shoulders about Cas around here. Let it go.
Liam Finn is a good signing for us. Not the best player in the world but fits what we need in our team.
The way others talk about him when captain of Ireland and how he bonds a team with his attitude makes me think he'll be the key to our improvement as he will allow others to play better.

| I said it 2or 3 seasons ago after a pre season friendly that he was their best player and he could do a job for us,but I was shot down, saying he's past it ,too slow, had his chance with us before and all that and here we are talking as a possible signing.I still think he could do a job for us and BS gets the best out of him like Powell did.I'd be pleased with him on board if true.

| Those with a connection to Wakefield may play with more pride and heart, just a thought.

Why? Never understood that theory.
For me, as long as we sign 3/4 experienced players in the areas we are weak, especially the centres and scrum half, then signings like Shulver make sense. If we don't look to strengthen the starting 13 with some reasonably proven experienced types then we risk spending next season getting d*cked again. There's a long way to go, can't understand why people are panicking just yet

| Can't understand why people think someone who was in our academy suddenly becomes a Johnny Thompson by birth right.
There have been plenty of players from outside Wakefield that have run their blood to water for us.... And plenty from Wakefield who have not.
