Irony, or comedy genius?!
I fell for Vossy during the WC, but if you listen to him every week in the NRL, he's prone to the same over-analysis of refereeing decisions that obsesses Eddie - it puts a negative slant on things and is unnecessary in my view. Unlike Eddie however, he's a naturally funny and likeable bloke, so he grates less.
Ray Warren is great - partly because of his history with, and knowledge of, the game; he has yet to become a cliché machine like Stevo and appears to still be in possession of all his faculties, which is a big bonus.
Over here, Brian Carney is the best we have by a country mile - he should replace Eddie, with Jon Wells taking over from Stevo. The co-commentary roles could be filled by some players with recent experience - and I'd like to see that freshened up; the usual suspects are becoming dull. And on that note - maybe it's time to ditch the robots and refresh the programme presentation?
