These guys are tough, they have to be but I can't help thinking that psychologically there is a point of no return on these injuries. People have been invalided for life for less traumatic events than this. You're so right Vasty, When its happened once and you know how long, how painful, and how difficult it is to get back to playing it is bound to affect your thinking when you have to confront it again. Rich has other interests besides rugby and he may just decide to concentrate on those. however some players become even more determined to prove their doubters wrong.
