Probably better than Lyne and Arundel.

| Not in the halves. Wing or centre is the question mark.
Probably fullback next season

| Could Tansey have been signed as he went to the Roosters and BS may have seen something?
Don't know if Tansey was on his way out as BS was on his way in at the Roosters?

| Is it controversial to say this is a decent signing? He's not a world-beater, but he certainly has ability and his utility value will be useful going into the 8's.
I'd stick him on the wing or centre right now, replacing either Arundel or Riley - he'd almost certainly be better than both.

| Back down to earth with a bump. Adequate fullback but surely Locke will be there? No better than what we already have in the other positions imho.

I agree. I'm sure people are swayed because he is at Cas and has had some trouble off field before but as a rugby player he is an elusive and fast runner.
He'll improve us.

| Possibly what most would class as a typical Wakefield signing. Been around a bit, had a few clubs, finds his home at Wakey. Lets hope anyhow.
As i stated previously, the more we can get in that are not in the same mind set as the current bunch, the better. Losing becomes a habit and all that.
No better than what we have but not on his ar$e mentally is classed an improvement for me.

| Having time to think if he keeps Hall and Miller out this is a half decent signing. Still seems like a sideways signing though.

Nothing at all to do with the Cas thing and everything to do with what he does on the field. If we hadn't just signed Locke i could see the merit as he is ok there but having done so i see nowhere where he will improve us. He has no kicking game for the halves and his defence is too poor for the threequarters. He'll offer cover in case of another injury crisis but with Miller and Hall other fb options if Locke as to be injured, Johnstone, Riley and Owen going for two wing spots (plus Hall if needed) and Arundal, Lyne, Hall & Ryan options in the centre then he would be way down the pecking order there for me as i don't think he is better than any of those options. Still just my opinion.
Personally i'd rather the money have gone on an out and out godd quality centre to replace Collis or a halfback with a decent kicking game. For me these are the glaring deficiencies in our game.

| Locke I agree with as if we get the best out of him he will be awesome.
Wasting the money we have left on Howarth and Tansey is not on! We need a quality centre and a power man with speed. Sio shall be a hooker that makes the signing of Howarth pointless. Tansey with Locke there will be pointless cannot believe this. Centre and a power man priority.
ANNOYED AT GETTING AVERAGE RUBBISH IN...... TASNEY AND HOWARTH would have paid for a position we need.
Frustrating yet again! You may say who can we get. We had plenty of player agents contacting us.

| He'll do a good job for you - his mistakes are what lets him down though. He's a utility player so he'll come in handy when it gets to the middle 8's - he'd be able to slot in anywhere in the back line IMO.

You do realise that Jordan Tansey is a UTILLITY back, and can play ?
Howarth is a good signing - especially if the rumours are to be believed that Washbrook is going back to Hull. As he can play loose - which in my opinion is his best position.
Maybe we could've used Howarths money to fetch Mariano back.
Howarth, Sio, Locke & Tansey will all IMPROVE our squad.
I'm starting to question why you even support Wakefield - Cause every post is purely negative.
