Think it's standard practise for super league players to have release clauses like that.

| My point was that he can't have signed yet.
You are right he could have a clause but we are not down yet so contract still intact.

He could have signed if the club have released him, relegation or not.

| Why would wire want Scruton? They don't seem to be short on forwards, and even if they were, I'd thought they'd be aiming higher.

He's played 9 out of 14 SL games plus the game against Leigh. The only games he has missed was due to a freak injury. And he is 29, so still around his peak. He had a bad year last season granted but that can happen and in the previous two seasons played over 20 games in both seasons. He is one of the few players we have with genuine class, letting him go now would be suicide.

| I'd love him at Cas Boyem, like you say he had a bad season and a freak injury this year. It does happen, look at Frankie this season.

He's played 19 games out of 40 in the last season and a half, you can have all the class in the world, but if it's on the bench instead of putting your winger into a gap then it's wasted.

13 players out of contract at the end of the season, you don't really need any information just a bit of imagination to make it up as they go along

So going by that theory shall we get shut of Lyne as well then given they have played about the same number if games in the last 12 months? May as well get shut of Kirke, Molloy, Ashurst and Annakin too whilst we are having a clear out they have missed more than they have played as well. Sorry but if we are to have a chance of staying up then we need to have players who can something that others can't. Collis is a quality centre and many good judges in the game say the same. He was ever present before his freak injury and hasn't missed a game since he came back. Where exactly would we get a like for like replacement at this point of the season?

| Can't remember Collis ever being on the bench, either from the start of the game or during it.

I agree. Getting rid of Collis now would be scandalous.
Reece Lyne isn't much better for missing games.
Dean Collis:
2012 - 20 Games / 28 Games
2013 - 24 Games / 27 Games
2014 - 9 Games / 27 Games
2015 - 9 Games / 14 Games
Total 62 / 96 = 64.5% of games.
Reece Lyne:
2013 - 16 Games / 27 Games
2014 - 19 Games / 27 Games
2015 - 9 Games / 14 Games
Not sure where this "Collis Out" Club has come from, but hes is a real talent and I'd be doing my best to keep him on board.
Hes also one of the best defenders in our team!

Can't agree fully with the defending part, he often runs out of the line and leaves his winger vulnerable if he can't complete the tackle.

| In all honesty we only have three players that can break a defensive line.
Tim Smith with his pass, which at the moment isn't quite firing
Dean Collis when he gets outside his man and slips a pass out of teh back door
Ali when he runs at the line and can get a ball free
Everyone else feeds of these three.
