| Starbug here , I have attended more Wakey SL matches than any other club , supporting you against Wigan at the DW and at Belle Vue back in 2006 , my last match being your game against Salford at the LSV when I sat among the 2,000 Wakey fans in the south stand , fans who for 80 minutes did not stop singing , a truly memorable and enjoyable night
It breaks my heart to see you where you now are , and as much as circumstances put you in difficulties , I blame your coach and his ridiculous statement for compounding those difficulties , unfortunately I don't think you will recover from it ' well at least not in short term , all the best

| We've played 5 league games at home this season and only 2 of them have been our traditional Sunday afternoon kick off. Don't forget we were the ones who drew the short straw of Catalans at home on a Thursday night before Easter. Is there any wonder crowds are down? I bet even some season ticket holders haven't been able to make some of our home games.

I'm not entirely sure but I think they're still classed as attending.

Just about right Starbug.
Cheers for the good wishes.

| People will not attend a Thurs night match when it's on TV. I made a choice to upgrade to sky sports for 12quid a month rather than pay 22 quid on the night. The club has not helped it's self and seems to have made some baffling choices . The coach seems to be taking some stick for his inexperience I think the owners in the same boat.

| I go to games to be end entertained and I thoroughly enjoyed last at night. The few of us in the north stand made loads of noise and got behind the team and the team responded. However I work all week and I want my entertainment at the weekend when I can relax not when I am still thinking about what I have to do at work the next day

| Let's face it, Wakey fans are some of the tightest in the league.
Whenever we are on TV, excluding the million pound game, the vast majority of our fans would rather watch the game in the pub.
The Catalan play off game a few seasons ago is another classic example but, if you add into the equation a poor run of form, an 80 0 disgrace against Wire,
Websters badly misplaced comments and the Thursday night, what do we expect.
Even the Wigan fans stayed at home, well, most of them.
On a positive note, there are definite signs of improvement and when we start to win a few games, the fans will return.

| Lowest attendance at home V Wigan for a long time!
To be fair;
Losing 80-0 in our previous game
Thursday night game
Live on Sky
Websters comments re: middle 8
Very poor run of form
But as has been said, marketing is shocking at the moment.
Pretty much non existent.
Can the club not put a printable poster on the website prior to each home game for supporters to print off
and distribute? Extremely cheap but effective way of advertising. Its a start.

Agree with this I thought noise and passion from our fans was the best in a long time. I came away last night feeling so much more positive than I have of late. Much more spirited performance with Godinet, Ryan & Scrutton putting in a brilliant shift and young Crowther showed strength and maturity after some pretty big hits. Yes we made some silly errors when we were close to scoring, and there were a few dubious calls by the ref but I feel if we perform like we did last night we could certainly beat a fair few teams.
Always thought the crowd would be light when its a Thursday on Sky and all us in the East stand stayed to clap em off. Coming on here and reading so much negativity and doom and gloom does not reflect the passion of the fans on the terrace last night and the efforts of the boys in red, white n blue.
No shame at all in last nights defeat, we gave Wigan a real contest.

| Its hard to market the product we are currently rolling out to be fair. The crowds are partly as a consequence of the sharp season ticket changes from last year and the current rut the club is in.
Yes there are some positives from the performance but my concern is the ease with which we let tries in, especially on our line. We have the softest on-line goal defence I have seen from a top flight club for a long time. Props scoring from 5 yards from a single pass with relatively little effort is just indicative of this and in my opinion it comes from attitude and intensity.
We had waves of intensity last night but when it comes to defending our own line we appear clueless.

| Best atmosphere in the North stand all season I left the match feeling more optimistic than I have done in recent weeks. Then the negativity on here.

| 3017 and how many from Wigan?
I take my hat off to Mr Carter but fear the real irreversible damage had being done to the club by the previous regime and 3000-4000 walked away for the last time many who had seen it all too often and enough was enough
I fear for the very existence of WT beyond this season

It does seem the club is going down without a fight, no marketing at all.
There are very cheap ways of marketing but we seem to do none, bar promoting on social media.
I'm not a big fan of cheap tickets, but after some of the performances and results we may need to do
something like that to coax some of the stayaways back?
Players in town on a Saturday handing out flyers?
We haven't had a red, white and blue match day yet either.

| I may be wrong but wasn't MC quoted a while since saying he didn't think marketing had any positives? Not needed?
