I'd agree it would be interesting to play Leigh.

Be good to get Leigh at home in the cup because if Trinity regain a bit more form and have no more long term injuries (Annakin, Collis and Lynne back before next round) I think we'd beat them. It'd also give confidence going into the play offs.

I'd be happy with Leigh in the next round, be it home or away because as has been said, it's a yardstick of where we are in a game that is a money spinner but not a disaster if we come up short.
I don't think we would come up short, because Salford played with one halfback for the majority of the game and to be cheeky, we have been playing with one halfback all season!

It's strange how we can give Salford so much slack due to having a couple of players out but, we don't forgive our own club when our pack has been decimated.
If you take Moi Moi and Hock out of the Leigh team, how competitive would they really be.
Having said that, a big well done to them on taking a SL scalp and let's see what happens today with the two Hull clubs.

When we get a little closer to our first choice 17, we will be competitive and we will certainly be closer to Wigan on Thursday than recent games.

I believe that we are turning the corner and our next SL win wont be too far away.

As for the cup, anyone at home !

When. Suggested I'd like Leigh in the last round (Halifax) people thought I was crackers!

Getting Leigh in the next round could go either way, we get tonked and lose all confidence for the middle eight games, or, we beat them and knock their confidence.

Leigh lived on their luck in the first half and beat a tiring Salford who were down to 2 interchanges for the majority of the game with Morley playing ridiculous minutes for a 37 year old.

You scored your first try after a penalty and then a dubious penalty

You were gifted a try by BJB then got another when getting the ball back because of a poor decision by Bentham when Fages clearly hit the arm of Beswick and not the ball.

You also had the advantage of being at home.

Leigh are clearly a good team, well coached and well run but the planets aligned for you yesterday!

I agree about Dobson being a loss for Salford but that said, Fages was outstanding for them and but for him the winning margin would have been more.

Leigh used just 3 of their subs all game,Hock was no use nor ornament for the time he was on & Aspinwall had a strapped up knee,Worthington wasnt used at all

Refs make bad decisions for both teams you know & players from both teams throw out bad passes, its all just part of the game.

We all like to see an underdog do well but O' Connor should tried to be neutral in his commentary.

I like Leigh and enjoy their current brand of playing the game, Rowleys going to be a top coach for years too.

I guess what I'm pointing out is the task ahead of Leigh or any of the Championship teams is a huge one.
Against a relatively injury free Super League team and perhaps away from home the gulf is big. That's not Leigh's fault it's just a reality, the speed, intensity and relentlessness of Super League tempers even the poorest sides like Wakefield into something Championship teams will find very hard to overcome.
