| Not wishing to ruin the moment but the current board took over at the end of August. The accounts relate to the period Nov 2013 therefore the profit stated is probably more to do with the sale of players and the reduction in overheads.
The difficulty will be to continue the trend now we have no players or overheads to reduce. I wish them well and it is good news which I hope they can sustain, I guess we will only find out this time next year.

| For sustainability the club should continue to encourage innovative ideas to generate income for the club, taking a leaf out of those other small professional sports clubs across the country. We had a forum page and it was full of ideas which MC was very receptive to.
The weekly car boot venue on the car park was just one of a number of ideas that could potentially generate a weekly income of £2000 during the off season. It only needs a licence from the council and the necessary risk assessments and careful management by volunteers.

| In the run up to Christmas we need to be pushing the Amazon cash back idea that was mentioned. That could earn a fortune in the next 2/3 months if you think about January sales as well

| Fantastic news, especially when you consider Salford lost £5 million and had a similar season to you on field.

| Hope the stay away supporters hear about this and realise MC is the real deal and not another boom and bust merchant. We need more season tickets bought to cement the stability and build the team. We look to have a decent squad but if individuals in that squad start playing well other clubs will start waving bigger contracts under their noses and with a bigger fan base we might stand a chance of competing with those deals.

Just checked and the rlhttps://www.easyfundraising.org.ukrl initiative has raised £880.14 for Wakefield Trinity. Whilst that is not a figure to be sneezed at it could be much better.
I use a couple of cashback sites but this one is the only one I know that gives cashback on Amazon so always use that when buying from Amazon as Trinity may as well be the beneficiary of the cashback. It doesn't cost me anything but does give a little back to the club. I think for Amazon it is 1.5% donation to the club. A couple of thousand fans spending an average of £100 on Amazon would generate an extra £3,000 for the club. I tend to do more and more of my Christmas shopping through Amazon each year so anyone else who does the same can help Michael and Chris out by generating extra funds at no cost to themselves. It's a no-brainer.
Well done to MC and CB on the job they've done so far, now let's get off our butts and help where we can.

That is the point though Scarlet. The board sold players when other teams did not and saved on salary expenses that other teams did not.
What other than reduction in overheads do you think contribute to the profit. That's how a good business is run.
Clearly we are not getting big crowds so there is no massive increase in revenue so reduction in overheads is exactly how to make a profit.
Saying that, the sponsorship deals that are coming through seem to be better in both volume and quality, though I don't know the value of the deals. That could be the increased revenue for the coming year you are looking for.

| Excellent job by the board, to cope with the financial situation they were left with is nothing short of brilliant. The staggering figure to me is the £ 1,920,365.00 deficit run up by the previous directors of Spirit of 1873 ltd.
Am I correct in thinking that Glover and his team were in charge for 18 months, if so they were racking up a loss of approx £1.5 million per year which would suugest that they must have had some sort of affiliation to the previous Labour Govt as they are the only other group of people who they can match for financial incompetence.

Balderdash!
This Conservative Government has managed to push 60% of its population into abject poverty while still increasing borrowing by 40% and widening the defecit of Trillions even further.
Back to the Rugby. . .
