I'd forgotten about the GF win over Fev.
I was there to see Josh Bostock have his finest moment!

We were relegated in 1982, 1984, 1987 and 1995.

| Was '95 due to a restructure?
Could be wrong, as SL started in '96.

| I believe Hull and Doncaster were in the relegation places we and Widnes were demoted to make way for Paris and London.

| There ends the most unedifying period on the super league's brief history, despite the effort of some Bulls posters to obscure the simple truth and propagate the arguments about different ownerships and so points shouldn't apply, blah, blah.
It's a shame the game loses a powerhouse, but I can't say I'll miss the Odsal or the Bulls. They've never excited me, and I just have a mental image of big blokes on muddy pitches plodding up and down.

| So it wasn't about the good of the game? It wasn't about sorting out the hierarchy at the RFL? It was about points? Marc Green take a bow, you've made yourself look a right tw@!

| I think he's tried to do what any Chairman would do - he's just not made a very good job of it; and it sounds a bit churlish to say, "we know we're right, but we're not going through with it."
Personally, I don't think he was ever going to chuck tens of thousands at a court case he had little hope of winning, but he's kept some fans on side by talking tough.
Bad medicine for the Bulls fans - who don't deserve this at all - but they have a good chance to regroup in the lower league and potentially, do a Widnes.

Therein lay the moral of this story!
Both Bradford and Wakefield have had similar recent histories in terms of their disastrous financial meltdowns. On just one occasion has either of them done the right thing when faced with debts they couldn't service while the other took the wrong road again and look where it's lead.
Wakefield have rebuilt, flirted briefly with the idea of a play off spot but more importantly are on course to be debt free before next season kicks off.
Bradford on the other hand have been through the ringer, lost 6 points, sat at the foot of the league table and eventually been relegated while their antics have brought bad press for Rugby League as a sport and lost them many friends from within the game.
