| Why would the RFL want to be found to have acted unfairly by the independent panel?
And for those who were wanting to know those on the panel...
The panel includes Bill Broughton and Chris Booth, who are partners at Leeds-based legal firm Pinsent Mason, and James Sleight, an insolvency practitioner.

| Quote: King Street Cat "I'd like to know where these rumours of getting points back are coming from as it's supposed to be an independent panel that has not yet made a decision.'"
Well two people in this thread have spread the rumours' just in case you have not read the whole of this thread they are TRB who has heard it from 2 of his mates one a senior pro in the game, and the other a journalist, Feline heard it prior to Sunday's game but does not remember whether she thinks they will get four points back or that it came with the rumour she heard prior to the game. I like you believed the panel or whatever they are do not sit until today so unless they have been on the phone to each other prior to today and also leaking the outcome to TRB and Feline's mates I personally will wait until its formally released, unless of course they are reading from a pre written script from the RFL, which I suppose could be the case with nearly everybody and his dog knowing the outcome already, I'm going to say two points on the basis that if I'm right I too can say I am in the know.

My own prediction, certainly prior to hearing from those 2 sources, was a good old compromise and 2 points back. I make it clear that I only know rumours and I hope that they are wrong.
Whatever the outcome, there is no way that these guys will meet without a) having done some homework and b) speaking to each other. It would naïve to think otherwise. That's not to say they have pre-judged the outcome - or shouldn't have, but then I don't know who is presenting what information to them and how much what happens on the day can or will influence the outcome. They may have an idea beforehand which is then altered by the days events.
As with most matchdays these days, I hope for the best, but prepare for the worst!

| TRB if you are quoting two individuals (who claim to know, and could conceivably be in the know) who are stating it as a fact then IMO it ceases to be a rumour.
That brings up the question, how might they know?
A decision by independent people, in a meeting that has not conveined, how can they possibly know the outcome of such a meeting that has not met?
As ever, if proven true this raises more questions than answers.
I wonder if these "senior" individuals are prepared to qualify there comments formaly, or just spread it around in the public domain where it can cause a bit of controversy?

IF there is to be no return of points, the whole of the RL world (including many from Wakefield) are getting very excited over nothing.
As things stand Bradford are still 6 points adrift of Wakefield with 12 game to go and though they are improving slightly (a win against us certainly doesn't make them world beaters), without any return of points, they wont catch either Wakefield or Salford.
However, with so much talk in the RL media, IMO there seems little doubt that thy will have 2 points(min) an probably 4 points returned.
The independent panel will have a hell of a job untangling the mess that surrounds the Bulls admin situation and the influence of the RFL's involvement and IF the Bulls are not happy with the outcome, will there be grounds for a further appeal AND are the implications of the "guidance" given to Wakefield relevant to the appeal (ie admin = relegation).
Ultimately the Bulls seem to be on a no lose "gamble" despte dragging themselves and the sport through the crapper.

| If they get the full 6 points back how will Koukash react? He's been pretty quiet about the whole situation but considering his team would only be 1 point ahead of Bradford and with both due to meet in the next round of the league, I'd expect he'd have something to say, in fact he'd have a lot to say!
It's going to be an interesting fortnight.

I cannot see Salford complaining. Its a straight battle between WTW and Bulls. Salford did'nt go into administration either.

Other than a complete guess. just what do you base your opinion on, because from what I have seen and heard everyone in the RL media all have different opinions, which makes the majority of them clueless just like me and a lot more on here and the Bulls board.

Imagine this scenario... Bulls get 6 points back and beat Salford, Wakefield beat London, that puts Salford in 13th and a point behind both. Salford ARE in the relegation scrap.

I'd guess the Salford fans won't see it that way, Bradford get points back, we both play Salford, they could quite easily be dragged into the relegation dogfight.

| @DCravenYPSport: Independent appeal hearing into Bradford Bulls' points deduction scheduled for 2-6pm today but might not be an instant verdict #rugbyleague
So that would suggest it hasn't been sorted weeks since.........Doesn't it?

A club that goes from relative safety to a situation where they become mired in the relegation battle wont complain
I don't think that MarwanK will be very happy at all and he's not usually known for keeping quiet.
It would be a very lively call from Salford to RLHQ, I'd love to be a fly on the wall. WOW
