icon_confused.gif Wakefield is a Conservative/Liberal/Labour mix, it's Cas/Pont etc that return all the Labour Councillors. As for a Conservative Council, with all respect they couldn't be much worse than Box and his cronies.

Quote: Wakylass "I understand that the capacity remains at 5400 until the new barriers are tested. The testing is not done by the LA its done by whichever contractor failed them in the first place, the club have to initiate this. Once tested and hopefully passed a certificate is issued and presented to the LA who will then allow an increase in the numbers. The fans that are doing this work need to be congratulated by us all, they are giving up their time at no cost to anyone. I do hope that the Club will have the barriers tested as soon as possible so we can get more fans into the ground.'"

they are booked in, but its not that easy to get them its not like ordering a taxi they aren't available straight away.

just to make sure that all was done for the game I took 3 days holiday to try and get it done but was just 3 barriers shy, it was completed by the weekend but the council was adamant that testing had to be done (thanks to the previous regimes)
I would like to say more but I wouldn't want get the club into trouble

please take note at how tidier the place is, its not been all about barriers

Thanks snowie for the hard work and updates - it may go un-noticed by many, but there are some who appreciate this.

As mentioned previously, safety is paramount and if something did go wrong with a large gathering of people, it can be catastrophic.

in saying that, i do agree that the council are slow to react to many things and the culture within them is very archaic. if you don't believe us, try getting hold of someone in authority on a friday afternoon (or thursday before easter)

Its a bit too late i know but some one on the cas forum has suggested it may have been better to switch fixtures and play at the jungle this weekend and at belle vue later in the season when the capacity had been upped. too simple i suppose and the RFL would probably have rejected it anyway.

You guys don't have another home game after this till end of May. Finances probably dictated this.

I would personally question the why the fixtures have such a gap between so may games, the Hull game has extended all our away games but surely home away, home away should be far easily for finical issue of all clubs or does wendy ball just take over all sport and sod them

the RFL have got to rethink there strategy icon_biggrin.gifOH: why I'm I talking to a brick wall

I recently bought a car , didnt check on everything , took a bit of a gamble. MOT was due so I took it to the garage , they said the tyres were bald and failed it. Maybe I should have checked that. So I took it home and a friend put on two new tyres and went I back to the garage. They look alright they told me but it still didnt pass the MOT as the other two still needed doing. So i took it home again and a friend put on two more. I phoned the garage told them what Id done and asked them to send the MOT. They wouldnt they said they needed to see the tyres. I couldnt believe it they were the same as the tyres I put on earlier. I told my friends and none of them blamed the garage for not issuing the MOT. They said it was my fault. I now need my MOT to get my car taxed and the garage hasnt room to book me in on time so I run the risk of a fine. Is it my fault , the garages fault or the vehicle licensing places fault ? Think about it...

Also there looked to be a lot more than 5k in the ground today. It just shows how inflated the crowd figures were for the last two seasons.
