At risk of becoming another victim of your witty repartee, were you at the game?

| Quote: Slugger McBatt "It was the high pass from Riley that changed everything. We never got back into the game after that, and we kept on messing up because we were chasing the game too hard.'"
Totally agree with you Slugger.
The ref was awful but, after we got pinged for holding down Masoa, we committed the exact same tactic on Amor and got penalised again.
We struggle to regain our composure when things start to go against us, just s we did against Salford (first half) and against Bradford.
I think we need to learn not to give back to back penalties which cost us both points and energy.
Having said that, the ref was shocking today.
How Ali could even be penalised (never mind put on report) for the Lomax incident is beyond me

The critisism of Lyne by some in here I find baffling. He once again in my opinion was one of Wakefields better players he has pace and genuine threat in attack.
There were plenty who should have prevented that try before it even got anywhere near Lyne being involved.

It was a lazy contact to the head, sadly according to the rules it is a penalty even though he was so near to the ground. He will not face further punishment. It's one of those penalties where it's more about protection of players even if strictly it is harsh on the offender.
Riley got cleaned out on passing the ball I think so think the pass was the option but was just executed poorly.

Your amazing. That is the most astonishing thing I have ever heard , I particularly liked the "once again" bit.

Not having this at all. He inspires no confidence in me in any aspect of his game, other than when he's put clean through - but that is a luxury we cannot afford.

Bless, the one-eyed rather ignorant Saints fan can't see the issue so resorts to desperate attempts to deflect from a serious problem by trying to be clever. I'd give up on that pal, it is way beyond your capabilities.

I could have gone in the council flats over looking your ground though
Very short memories, some people
I hope we can show a bit more class when we're lucky enough to move to a new stadium.

If luxury players make more yards, nearly 100 more than any other player in the team, than any other player, more clean breaks more carries per meter then I would be happy to carry luxury players. Can't be far off your top try scorer either.
If he had made the poor attempt to tackle the player Riley did for the Saints try or thrown the ball into touch like Riley did the board would be in melt down.
I really don't get it. He is not perfect but he certainly is one of your better performers. Maybe if he was on loan from another club he would get more plaudits.

| Well done Saints capitalized on the ridiculous penalties.
Poor refereeing by TR whenever I see who the officials being announced for games I always feel sorry for the people who have TR, JC & RH refereeing.
Apart from the results and the horrendous refereeing I really enjoyed the game (More the first than the second) very entertaining and after the performance I feel the squad we have now can compete with the majority of teams once they are properly gelled. I wasn't expecting a win but we came close and I was just disappointed how we got nothing from the game. Goodluck rest of season Saints apart from when we get revenge at yours

What do you mean "if he had made the poor attempt to tackle the player Riley did?" - Surely you must mean "if he had made ANOTHER poor attempt" - I guess you didn't notice the pathetic attempt he made at a player who was stood still before pushing away a rather frightened looking Vera before plonking the ball down for a try. Lyne is plain poor.

| I hate bagging players and I've defended Lyne, but it's clear that he has absolutely *nothing* other than pace; he looks like a frightened rabbit in any kind of collision and just about everything he does suggests panic.
Shame - a big athletic lad who was worth persevering with, but it hasn't paid off.

3 players made woeful attepts to tackle on that play before Lyne got involved. He should have made the tackle but equally so 3 players before him should have made the tackle too, can't see them getting slated.
Check his stats, whilst he does make errors he contributes massively to the team.
Like I said earlier maybe if he was on loan or had an Australian accent he would be rated for his input.
