I went to a frndly for the world cup there - new stand looks great but highlights how steep the slope actually is when you look at it by the steps. I reckon it's a good 7/8ft

I believe the plan is to move the pitch up the hill.'"

Having been involved with Fev many years ago I do know that the 2 new side stands are actually level - so levelling the pitch in the future should be straight forward enough.

I'm not surprised at all. I've never doubted his work rate or effectiveness in the tackle. He just isn'ta stand off.

On the cards for start of next season by all accounts and told that no levelling will take place and yes,you also notice the right to left slope as well.

Don't know about the levelling but I do know the main stand built in 1985 is level - I also think the opposite stand is also level. As for the left to right I've never noticed it but it can't be anywhere near as bad?

Do you have any indication as to how much this project is costing the club?

they got the stands for next to nothing as they became the "contractor" to demolish the McCain's stadium with payment being what they could recycle. The construction has been done by about 12 volunteers led by Paul Coventry. The centre of excellence was funded by the chairman, about £300,000 with equipment around £50,000.

What Rovers have been clever about is bringing in new sponsorship with landscapers, building merchants etc who will be having an input in the ground improvements. And not forgetting Feisal from Probiz who has injected a significant amount of cash in as well.

Good luck to them I say, they have had a raw deal since dooper leagues inception, would love to see them back in the top league but at Cas's expense rather than ours.

Jack don`t forget the £ 2 million from the council so the community of Wakefield are been given a 40 acre site and £ 11 million for sports facilities . We have a willing developer, planning permission, a willing council, willing support witnessed by the 15,000 sigtnature petition, willing local residents wittnessed by the additional 3,000 signatures from local residents, a willing vehicle in the form of Sir Rodneys Community Trust to drive the project forward.

Correct, what Fev have shown is that 'if there is a will there is a way' Our club ought to be focused on this and not getting side tracked with stupid ideas about redeveloping Belle Vue.
