How cheap do you think he would come? Liam Kay style 10k a year cheap? I think he'll be on a decent wage at Fev and he would probably require a transfer fee. I can't see Fev letting their main play maker go for nothing without a ready made replacement.
Having said that I'd love him to come back be given more of a chance than he had last time.

| I think you will find Featherstone have released him because they have replaced him with Moore from Batley.

| Well under normal circumstances he wouldn't be on my shopping list, but given the current mess we are in we are in no position to turn our noses up at players of this potential.
not the most athletic or dynamic half backs there is, but certainly got experience and the grey matter to improve us if he came. Again, as somebody has pointed out if this had been some no mark from the NSW Cup or wherever then plenty would be salivating at the prospect he could be the next Henry Paul.

Not heard that he has been released although Halifax did have the ok to speak to him and he refused to go as he wanted to stay at Fev. If Wakey gave him a chance at S/ L I think he would take it as it seems he may not be wanted at Fev Personally I think you should of come for him 2 year ago but as one of the post say he's not an Aussie so hasn't had the opertunity Hope he stays at Fev another year because Moore is not as good as him at the moment but if you get him good luck to him.

| In my opinion he does not have the pace or hands to be a super league scrum half irrelevant of where he comes from or what accent he has.
Then again i dont suppose we are trying to win the comp, 3rd bottom will do (maybe??) and when you look at it like that, its only 3 places above the team he has been playing for. I'll take him

| I don't think he is superleague material either, hence every superleague coach in the last ten years has left him in the championship, but beggers can't be choosers i suppose. I think its a lack of pace that has scuppered his chance and at 30 years old he isn't going to get any quicker but at least he has a kicking game.

Really yet Tim Smith was lightning quick.

Smith also has a much better passing game than Finn. Although Finns defence is probably just about better.

Whatever the virtues of Tim Smith, Liam Finn is not good enough imo, and I have seen nothing in the WC to change my mind.

| The USA sh would be a better bet - he's shown some real quality. Whilst we're at it, get that big prop, Offerdahl?

Have to say you really surprise me with that, but then you've been wrong before.
Just wondering why you feel the need to contradict my every post rare though they are these days, I know it's your opinion but flipping heck it's every time these days.

Offerdahl is a free agent and has got the 3 rd highest tackle busts in RLWC 2013 so if we could afford him may be a good cheap prop replacement for Poore.
Joseph Paulo is a NRL player though with Paramatta and would not be cheap as under contract.

If all we can afford as a 7 is Liam Finn and he wants SL plus Fev will release him then Liam Finn it is and the best of luck to him in the red, white and blue. He was ok for Ireland last week but there pack we're pathetic IMHO.

| Apart from the fact that he's under contract at Fev for next season (how will you afford his transfer fee?), he's got a thriving business and is reluctant to go full time......

Vastman
Whilst you don't post often at the moment you always have a point and are the best read on this forum. Keep posting, you've even got me posting now.
Yours a former junior player who didn't quite make it, supporter of 44 years, and looking forward to the next season where the underdog that is Wakefield Trinity surprises more than is expected!

I know he is and I didn't meant Paulo - is it Howard?
I note that Offerdahl currently plays for the Connecticut Wildcats - could be a sign?!
