Idiot. How will you be a feeder club? you have two players who Leeds would probably be interested in, although surprised Aiton was one.
Even if you do get Leeds rising stars on loan, is that such a bad thing really? At least your club can remain competitively without dire financial repercussions.

| I don't see how Aiton going to Leeds can be blamed on Kath Hetherington or we are becoming a feeder club for Leeds.
Aiton (Smith and Amor as well) leaving is because of the bad financial management that has gotten us into the mess we are in with insufficient income to pay creditors and wages. Without the sale of Aiton we would face administration and the end of Super League and maybe the Club.
If Kath Hetherington has done the deal with Leeds at £70,000 and I don't know if its true or not then I think she has done a good deal and if we take players from Leeds, whether permanent or on loan which improve our position then I for one will be happy with it.
Michael Carter made it clear that unless we sold 3,000 season tickets then there would have to be players sold to pay bills/wages so this should not come as a surprise. Sadly we have not sold enough ST but before anyone screams that the fans should not be blamed they are right - its the person or persons who got us in the mess - and all we as supporters can do is support the club in any way we can.

| KH is the best thing to happen to our club for many many years. The fault for all our problems is Glovers. If true getting £ 70,000.00 for Aiton is the best bit of business ever.

That remains to be seen, the jury is still out for now. The blame for our situation does have to be laid with the previous incumbents though.
70K for Aiton is about the going rate for a guy who won our Players’ Player of the Year, Coaches Player of the Year and Man of Steel awards at the end of season awards do. He was under contract until the end of 2015 and at 28 is the peak of his career, plays 80 minutes every week and according to MC a few weeks ago offers great value for money salary wise. He will be tough to replace.

| Wonder if Andy Ellis is still mad with us? Or maybe he would be too expensive ?

| Aiton going would be just a damaging to the team as Kirmond would, but sadly it has to be done. Poore to Hull KR next, we need him off the wage bill.

We are where we are in the food chain and sadly we have dropped further recently. We can't compete with Leeds and will never be able to. I think the link between us KH and Leeds can work in our favour at this difficult time.

| What's his brother's ability like? If he's of a decentish standard Trinity could always maintain Aiton still plays for the club to those who are less aware of the finer details.

How long you been watching Wakey ? our best players have been going to Leeds since time began ! I am pleased Kath is with us, she has a long history of RL administration and deep knowledge of the rugby side of things plus contacts everywhere - its inexperience and naivety in these areas that has got us in this mess, at least give the new folk time to fix it

| Thank goodness teams like Salford, Saints and Leeds are prepared to pay us some cash. I'm sure that there is the usual vulture team just circling hoping for us to have to release players for free or a pittance.

Mind games in this quote.
As a replacement, i would take McShane, decent goalkicker into the equation also.
We have been able to get a fee for two overseas players.
I don't think that's bad business. Get another couple of gamble/not in the spotlight overseas to come across this year and sell em on later.
Will be rolling in the money in not too long!
