| I support the club not AG or JE and whilst I am grateful for AG buying the club at the time he did, I don't think that makes him immune from criticism . Clearly, he has done some good things but equally there are still signs that the club has not been run as well as it should be. I seem to recall after last years issue with the tax man we were told it was an admin error and it wouldn't happen again, yet here we are facings a winding up order from them.
The attitude of hmrc is well known and this is one bill that any business needs to keep on top of. They appear to be heading in the right direction with the appointments of people with a financial background, but why was that not done after the last oversight?
In summary I believe that far from doom mongering the comments on previous threads turned out to be pretty accurate and as someone else said we would not know what we do know had the club not felt the need to respond to the speculation and IMO valid questions raised.
I also think that by and large people have taken on board the contents of AG statement and have a more understanding view of some of the reasons why we are in the position we are.

I'm not saying that AG or JE are immune from any criticism. I just feel more recognition for what they have done in the past 18 months (new roof on the north stand, opening a proper shop in a shopping centre instead of the IKEA-esque hut we had before etc.) Like stated in his Q&A the finances have taken a hit with not playing the Leeds home game. The feeling is that if we had cas earlier in the season instead of London and Leeds wasn't called off, and obviously we had a sponsor who didn't fiddle taxes, we wouldn't be in a situation where people can doom-monger at all.

| The whole point of the forum is to air any issues that require "answers".
Balance is important and there is no doubt that we all owe AG big time but, to not to ask questions occasionally turns us all into sheep.

| We are the world famous Wakefield Trinity RLFC once the best club in RL and has the potential to be once again. We're on the verge of a new stadium, have a competitive team, best crowds in years. you see trinity shirts and car stickers etc are a common site around our City where once you saw hardly none. We're playing leeds tomorrow infront of a big crowd in confident mood still competing for a play off place, I'd have taken that if asked a few years ago. Yes the board have made mistakes maybe badly advised and unlucky but I'm backing them. You only have to look on other fans forums and fans from other clubs who post on here they jump on every negative and post it everywhere . Why's that? Because we have the potential alot of clubs don't and they dont like the thought of us reaching our potential. also playing in our new stadium will help us achieve that (that's why some fans of other clubs are desperate for that to fail too)
I think it's a case of doing the best we can until we get to NM and a push on another level.
TRINITY FOREVER

| I agree with the sentiment of the OP but issues do need raising.
There is a difference between raising issues and rank doom-mongery however and I think a greater balance towards the former is required at times on here.

| I think the biggest threat to the club comes from a section of the Northstand, at least 3 yobs left the group at the Widnes game to get involved and then returned to the fold.
Not one of these has been identified or banned yet several "so called fans" know them, add to that the abusive/foul chanting and we looked just dandy on Sky.
Now i know a few young lads who sing and chant and they are great fans and most who use the Northstand are decent supporters, they all add to game day.
Sadly it'll not count for much and we'll cop fines if it contiues.

| A reminder that we have a phone number for Tackle It down at BV:
07747 554470 if it still is in operation.
Add it to your mobiles, hopefully you won't need it but you never know!!
I also hope the incompetent stewards have been given a "ticking off!!!"

| IMO the stewards are where the fault lies, take the Widnes game for example, there is not proper segregation there and there actions are too weak, even after the fighting starts they don't do enough IMO.
I also think that crowd segregation is the answer, what happens is you get the extremists/most passionate fans on the edges of the segregate area, thus make conflict more likely as opposing extremist/passionate fans are in close proximity to each other concentrated to a small area, anyone who goes to football games (I don't anymore these days) will testify this is where all trouble kicks off at games. The best thing the club could do is to remove the segregation instruction and allow fans to stand where they want, this will then dilute the extremists and also disperse them around the ground rather than stood next to each other. BV is a 100 year old ground and in it's current form cannot consistently and effectively accommodate segregated crowds, yeah sure when we play Catalan/London/Salford it can but not when we play Cas/Leeds/Hull/Wigan who all tend to bring more than the 1800 capacity of the western terrace.

Does anyone know if this is still in operation? We all saw the chanting getting out of hand at the Widnes game and how little the stewards were doing about it, I felt things turning sour as soon as the second half kicked off but nobody did anything... Think we should take as much responsibility as we can and flag anything we see to the club before it gets out of hand.
