| Quote: Trojan Horse "I have to say that Raleigh has been prop 4 out of 4 and has really struggled all year.
His last two games before Leeds were better but still not one of the better of the players taking the field.
He has lost far more collisions than any of our other 3 props this year and after last years form it's been painful to watch as you know he is a hard worker.
I like Raliegh but its just not happenning this season for him. Still time yet if he is clear from injury but I hope we don't regret handing him a contract for 2014 whilst been way off form.'"
Think you're very wrong on this one TBH. Since his return from INJURY he has been on excellent form.
His season up until the last four games was ruined by INJURY not by anything Raleigh has or hasn't done.
I'd sign players like Raleigh up on a yearly contract until they say they have had enough - you simply can'y have too many Raleigh type players IMHO.

^ this.
Of course actually noticing the great contributions of a player like Andy takes an appreciation of skills other than those displayed by the regular headline makers! How many on here were surprised when he was voted players player of the year last year, as well as coaches POY?

| I'd say since his first return from injury he was very poor and was clearly not fit. He was consistently poor in defence and collision for a 4? Game period.
His more recent return he has been better the last few games but immense? That's pushing the boundaries to the stretching point I think. Has been more solid but still easily outshone by all 3 of Amor, Poore and Wilkes.
He was looking of late to be scratching some form together but he has been pretty woeful other than about the more recent 2 games this year and has looked most of the season unfit and pretty weak in collisions.
Opinions differ and I can accept that , been hoping Raliegh would hit some form like last year but he just hasn't for me. Injuries fitness or whatever it is but I'd have Amor, Poore and Wilkes all ahead of him at present.
I hope he is ok and can turn it around. I like him and will cheer him like the whole team as always on game day but at present he isn't worth that contract renewal on his 2013 performances.

| Mr try scorer we all have our own opinions and mine is that Raleigh will be going well next season.I remember Brian Lockwood getting the Lance Todd trophy when at HKR then going to Hudds and Oldham some thinking he was past his prime in comes Dougie Laughton and he goes to Widnes and on to Wembly again.Raleigh is one of those players that will not always look to be having a good game but does some good stuff.

| I give up. you obviously can't express an opinion on a player without been told "some people don't understand the finer points" etc.
It seems there are fans on either side of the fence but ofcourse the fans who are misguided are the ones that are of the opinion Raleigh has struggled this year in the main.
Ill just conform as I know nothing about the "finer points" as you so put it. Raleigh has been immense.
Job done.

| Raleigh is about 6 foot 2 and 16 stone so is not a lightweight. Agree not as good as last season but still worthy of a place in the 17 every time IMHO. Didn't he score against Leeds the other night to put us in the lead chasing a ball down that most props wouldn't bother with?
Think Ferres has said in commentary that most props see those sort of kicks as time for them to take a breather but not Raleigh and not first time he's done it. He's been unlucky with injuries this year and in pre season was described as the fittest in the squad. Lets not pull players apart that are solid professionals without which Wakefield would be at the bottom of Super League. Trust Agar Raleigh is well worth another years contract.

| Raleigh does tend to be quite sharp when there's loose balls around the try line.

| I think we've had the best out of Raliegh now and keeping him for another season could be a grave error, time to move him and acquire a new prop. Then again I hope he proves me wrong and gets back to his form of last year.
