If the three NRL teams mentioned are after him, then it's likely that we have missed out on a decent player and we could do with a stand off for next term

Sometimes overseas players don't settle straight away. He probably feels more comfortable in his game where he is, with no pressure of kicking added to that.
And maybe their structure is different to ours too.
