And will improve with the experience,

I wouldn't mind having another look at Cowling anyway.
On the Mellars thing, you an see why a Coach would have him on the bench simply for his utility value, he can cover the forwards and the backs.
Not sure what's happening with Lyne, looked like he could be a bit of a player in the first few games, gone off the boil in the last few.

Yes. Mellars maybe a jack of all trades but at the moment he certainly is master of none. Sorry to get on the lads back but he's had so many chances its becoming tiresome. I'm willing to give Lyne a bit more time like I did Mellars but it gets to a point where you have to call it a day.

| I think moving Mellars into the second row was a terrible move. Aside from a stint at Wigan all his performances have been sub-standard there and most of his better games for us have been at centre.

| Why what didn't he do today because I thought he was pretty solid and like I said before he's been decent enough the last few games he's played. I can understand why people gave him an hard time before and agreed with most of it but not now.

| The position he plays your looking for at least one burst tackle, a powerful run gaining good yards, crikey even an offload !! A good solid defensive game isn't enough I'm afraid. Cowling or Walshaw do exactly the same, these lads need the game time Mellars is swallowing up. Mellars has had his chance.

| He's coming back from a career threatening injury so didn't play much last year. He's strong defensively and solid going forward snd had good utility value. I'd say with us in 10th that's exactly what we require at the minute.

He is 3rd rate but he is a Kiwi.
I would have Mariano in the team.

Agreed, there were more prominent players for the lynch mob lunatic front to salivate over.

| If Mathers had been at FB last night and made the mistakes Smith made in the first half, there would have been a thread dedicated to it within minutes.
I didn't notice Lyne.

| Thought Lyne was poor. He had glue on his hands so they knew they could tackle him and leave the wing. A passing centre can be less of a runner if the defense is confused.
Mellars I was happy with. When he came on his job was to tackle. He did that pretty well.
