We are going to get a hammering if we play like we did in the Hull game thats for sure.'"

I see and get the clubs point of view, but is it no longer acceptable to post an opinion that doesn't shower the club with kisses. People were not happy and they had a right not to be. I'm dismayed as to the treatment some have received regarding said issue from both the club groupies and a few who should know better. Now they cop it on unrelated threads for simply voicing an opinion....nice. I realise one poster won't let it go and has posted on here but it doesn't make the point raised any less valid.

Yes we were very good against Hull but they were shocking in defence and I would expect a top amateur team to have kept us to a lower score.

So am I because he didn't play on Monday icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif

Yeah - and in their state-of-the-art stadium everything you do can be seen and if you light up / use foul language / throw something / hit someone it will be seen and you would be dealt with!

You cannot compare the demands of managing the stadium between BV and the DW - they are 100 years apart, physically and metaphorically.

We all know the limitations of BV, hence the reason we've spent nearly 10 years campaigning to move out.

We have a problem at BV and whether its £1k, £20k or £100k we cannot afford to have the good work to improve the stadium / the crowds and our entertainment undone because of it. Communications aside, the club have my support in whatever action they deem fit to rid our stadium of the idiot minority; assert control and ensure we have a pleasant and safe match-day experience.

There are bigger issues to deal with than your favourite piece of concrete!

That's a lot easier to say when you know the actual reasons which I assume you do. I realise the club can't tell fans everything and why should they. However people pay £22 to get into BV and the very least they can expect is the right to air their grievances right or wrong. We can't have it both ways with the club wanting near charity status from fans where it suit then being all business like when it doesn't.

I'm not having a go at you or defending a poster who just won't let it go. However we both know it's easy to get annoyed when you don't know what's going on. Also like it or not it most definitely spoilt the whole atmosphere at BV which is a massive shame - and having stood on the west terrace for years I really don't know what has happened that is so bad as I've never seen any real trouble.

There was a time when if I'd missed a match I'd happily have given the club the money - but it's a different game now - and because of that I tend to want what I want a lot more those days because I'm not a charity either. icon_biggrin.gif

I get all that - I've had to move myself, but this poster just can't / won't let it go and yes, I kind of know, but not really, which is a shame as I would have hoped the club would use the ST as a conduit for these things - so it's supporters dealing with supporters and we can then strike a reasonable balance - that much I am disappointed in.

Without any details to connect the two, perhaps it is worth considering the method WY police had in dealing with Hull City supporters coming to Huddersfield, just a few days earlier. There were protests on the streets of Huddersfield over that and a lot of bad publicity. There is also a history of City supporters piggy-backing the FC games to cause trouble in WY. Again, none of this is knowledge, but it gives some indication of the issues the club may have had to deal with that we don't know about and, in all honesty, would they really wish to broadcast something like that?

Anyway, back on topic in a way, clearly the reference to the methods of stewarding a modern stadium and comparing it to a 19th century stadium in the 21st century is a mile off the mark.

Oh, and btw, I think Wigan will win, but we'll fight hard and true and certainly beat the bookies! icon_wink.gif

So just to clarify, Monday is not going to be the norm - if so I'm happy??? icon_razz.gifRAY:

It would have been much easier for folk to stomach had the club made that clear, assuming it's the case.

No, I am not saying that - I don't know, but I would have thought Davide would have clarified that if it were the case.

Out of interest shouldn't the message by Davide be, at the very least, put on the website and in the local press? Not every wakey fan is a member of this forum.

Belle Vue has been just fine for fans mixing for over a hundred years. Why is it suddenly inappropriate?

They have't taken the reasonable steps to deal with the issue that they could have before imposing a policy that treats us all as hooligans. Then on comes their sacrificial lamb to communicate, ties himself in knots and we're all supposed to then accept the clubs ever changing view? I think not.

I for one am offended that I cannot mix with the fans of Hull FC, Leeds, Castleford etc "for my own safety", what a load of old pap.

Any way, when you've all done not talking about the Wigan game,I hope Trin turn up and give it a good go.you never know Wigan could be a bit under par,ok,a lot under par,and Trin have the game of the season. As long as they give 100% that's all I can ask.that's me done, now back to where you want to stand if you want.

So let me just get this straight - because I don't think you've made yourself very clear; you don't think the club have taken steps to deal with the issues of anti-social behaviour that have occurred in some recent games?

Is that about right? Worth checking like, because frankly, I think you've been a bit vague up to now.

Obviously I hope we win the game but more importantly for me is the performance.

In this game against Wigan I'd like to see us cut out the mistakes. Play some good intelligent RL, where we know when to keep it tight and know when to play a bit more off the cuff. Do that and we won't be too far off.
