| Hi Seth,
Think most will struggle against their big guys, played them on Saturday and they we're a hand full again.
Glad they have been moved up though. Can honestly say there are no gimmes in that group at all.

| I don't think crigg will have a problem playing any team regardless of size and would probably welcome it, unlike some teams that seem to be a little aprehensive at playing against bigger players

Hi Richard, yeah I spoke to Alan, I was going to come and watch but we were training. Certainly looks like a very tough competition, some big strong athletes in that Milford side so they've come from nowhere.

Id not suggest they wouldn't welcome it at all, be good competition. Pretty understandable small sides would be apprehensive playing teams with 6footers playing for them, easy to say when your competing like with like.

Did Milford recruit these big ones late last season?
I only ask as my lads team(Greetland) played them early last season and i can only recall there being one big lad that stood out.
TBH i cant see past Crigg winning Div 1,although i think Div 2 could be wide open.

I don't think any team is apprehensive about playing teams with bigger players - don't know why you would suggest that???
I also agree that Crigg wouldn't have a problem playing any team - as most wouldn't??????

We played them in a friendly about 8 months ago and won by 28 with (as you say) their 13 standing out, we then invited them to our gala in November and they had 3-4 more big althletic lads who as I understand moved from the year above to join their own age group.

I've not "suggested" anything, merely pointed out that IMO crigg would relish the challenge of any team and that some teams seem a little apprehensive at playing the bigger and stronger teams/players, I think maybe a couple of people on here are reading more in to my post than is actually there

| Spartans U14's are confirmed as playing in Div 2 for the 2013 season; we were initially put in Div 1, but that was dealt with on appeal.
Flattering to be considered to be in the top 8 teams in Yorkshire but at this stage in our development, totally the wrong place for us to be; just need some fixtures now!

| Milford have come from nowhere and my understanding of it was they had 5 players that were playing in the age group above but have now moved to there correct age group, add to that 3 players from stanningley A and they are now a formidable team that will do more than compete in group 1.
Group 1 does look incredibly tough with no gimmes in there at all,I'm pretty sure all will have recruited well and there will be a a lot of teams beating one another which will make for a close group although it has to be said crigglestone are the team to catch.
For the record Milford beat the panthers 26-16 after the panthers had led 6-12 at the break, the game was played on there 4G pitch which I believe they use quite a bit which was great for the time of year although expect 1 or 2 burns to the knee's.
This week doesn't get any easier with the panthers playing what's now an annual game against east hull.

| The East Hull U13s are one of the best structured, intelligent footballing teams I've seen for a long time, I don't know who their coach is but they're doing a superb job.
Their Loose Forward is an absolute gem of a player who looks odds on to become something special.
