how can anyone be happy with that. all these games have been a farce. they are more like training games. no one likes them. no real competition. what a waste of money taking the players for a freebie to south africa and wait for it! for altitude training.
they would have been better using the same money to take them to oz or new zealand and played some real rugby. i know they would have got walloped but i know it would have been entertaining. they could have toured for a few weeks as the lions and got some real experience. just recently english rl has been the biggest joke in sport following the bulls fiasco and all the rest of the rubbish that has been going on. roll on the aussie rugby starting

Screw the Aussie rugby, roll on the start of the new SL season.
They was only in SA a week or so, not really the same as a full tour down under and it's hardly a either or situation.
Not sure what's wrong with altitude training, or that the RFL took the England players to SA, all the top athletes go to places like SA or big Bear in the US to train at altitude. It will have been a good place for them to train and something different for them to try, so I'm not sure how you can say it was a waste of money, unless you were there to see what they did.
You can't win though, for us to get better teams like France have to get better & more competitive themselves and the only way that's going to happen is if we play them more often, just like we want to play Aus & NZ more to get better.

This just about sums it all up for me.
Just one other waste of time, why was Morley played - he's been a great prop, no doubt about it but wasn't this an ideal oppertunity to bring in a younger prop with a view to competing in next years world cup that Australia will more than likely win. Surely he won't be considered for the world cup?

Now thats where you are wrong if we take that attitude, and every one stops watching these games, where is the money coming from to train up the next set of England lads, to pay for our games to play Australia/New Zealand, to keep spreading the game, I know there are hard line old fashioned fans that have narrow minds and think the game should just be played in the North East,North west, when going to games like these you have to look at the bigger picture, as game develope out side the heart lands, we will unearth more England/Scotland/Welsh and Irish players, then the game will get stronger, it will take a good few years decades for it to take hold, but we must keep pluging away for the good of the game, the future fans game.. now I will look forward to the nit picking, narrow minded comments WELL get on with it..

The point is that, the Autumn Series is just not competetive.
Unfortunately, the stance taken by both Australia and New Zealand, has left England without any decent opposition.
Although probably less popular with the viewing public, England should have used many more of the fringe players to see if there were any capable of stepping up for the world cup next year.
As I have posted elsewhere, the TV exposure is excellent but, with the predictability and lack of a decent contest, this does little to enhance the image of our sport.
Our small grooup have always attended the end of season internationals but, this year we have given them a miss.
Btw, yesterdays game would have been better, staged at Doncaster rather than at a building site.
KR's improvements will be excellent but, again, it looked awful,as an advert for the game.

| It was boring true, but from my point of view not entirely so.
I do not, and never have liked McNamara and I detest Hock so I was supporting France and was hoping they scored. so when Kane Bentley went over my day was not totally ruined.
Now have 1 week to learn Le Milles (sp) though I may have to learn French first.

| I stopped watching Wales vs England after HT and I put up with 33 minutes of it yesterday.
I'm not even sure if I like rugby league anymore, I watch Wakey because its Wakey, but I get bored watching other teams.

I know where your coming from as I too am finding it the same, I have had more pleasure watching junior rugby.
football just angers me for how much they earn nowadays and I struggle to even watch any of it.
afraid I'm with the majority on this subject this years tri nations has been a utter flop for me.
it wasn't that long ago I remember dragging my loved one down the street while she was pregnant so we could get to the shudds stadium to watch the Hakka when New Zealand was playing Great Britain.
I wish them exciting games would return, if they need a rest then rest our lads too

| Bring back tours!
Not bothered if it's Great Britain, England or the Super League Globetrotters that play a touring Kangaroos and Kiwis team but bring back proper tours in some format or another.
2013 - World Cup - Europe
2014 - 4 Ns - Down Under
2015 - Kangaroos tour UK & France
2016 - 4 Ns - UK
2017 - GB/Eng/SLG tour Aus & NZ
2018 - World Cup - Australasia
2019 - 4 Ns - Down Under
2020 - new Zealand Tour UK & France
and so on. . . . .
