| Though I understand people impatience I really don't get the worrying bit. My own belief has always been not to believe it until the diggers are on site and I'll stick with that for now so worry for me will remain present even after any announcement regarding planning.
For those involved right from the start (2004) this current delay barely registers. It doesn't help that there are people out there who are happily peddling doom and gloom stories for the purposes of their own agenda. But as I say it's not the most worrying point we have been at so far, fingers crossed it never is.
What you need to remember is that the Stadium is a small part of a larger development. It's crucial but not the reason NM is being built, that is for pure profit. This is business and it's calculated and hard headed and the desire of Trinity fans to be in NM is fast as possible is not high on the agenda. Added to this a still tricky economy and it's bound to move slow. Personally have no idea, could be tomorrow could be next year. What I do believe is the momentum is still there and when it happens it will rocket forward.

| I'm not too sure that NM is as crucial to your immediate future as was once thought. Attendances could very well change the attitude others had towards your club, the new place and Trinity in SL.
Last year your avge crowd was 8100+ a 25% increase on the previous season.
That is very impressive.
At the last statement on this site re current season ticket sales you're around the 3500 mark. This could mean you get 4000 by the end of the month with considerably more by the time SL starts in 2013.
Should your avge gate go up to 9000, a 10% increase on 2012, or above then no one is going to vote you out of SL. That's a given no matter how ramshakle Belle Vue is. Yes I have been and stood under cover but it still isn't the greatest ground.
If your city supports Trinity by good crowd averages that will have far more influence on your Super League survival than an immediate story on Newmarket.
Best of Luck with both and I do hope you get 4000 by the 31st.

All good stuff, but it doesn't reduce the importance of NM for our longer term future - no matter how many of the good folk of Wakey turn up to BV next season, it will still be BV and will still have no parking, crap facilities and be impossible to extend.
Aside from all that, we don't own it - if the BoI get an offer, they'll want to offload.

But it will also still have the best pitch in SuperLeague and be the best place to watch a game of rugby on a sunny Summer day.

| The reason why attendances are up is ur to subsidised season ticket with the intention if building out us timer base ahead of our move to Newmarket. If Newmarket didn't go ahead the ST wouldn't be reduced and thus our attendances would be lower.

Whoever had the foresight to write in a covenant for BV deserves a medal.
Although I not up on all the legal stuff, I understood that we can play at BV unless another suitable facility is provided elsewhere.
What this does to BOI position, who knows.

| If we get Newmarket..??
Would it be better to get a deal with Leeds United, to play their reserves games at Newmarket, as there is loads of Leeds United fans in the Wakefield/Castleford area and thats with out fans in the Leeds District,
So for the benifit of the club/community stadium this could be a good option...?? the New Leeds United owners when they take over could be intrested and maybe get some sponsorship for the Wildcats at the same time..??
Toughts..?

Nah - balls to Leeds, I'll stick with Guiseley and the Clipper Logistics Stadium.

That's what's rumoured but will Guisley join forces with Wakefield FC and take there name or carry on as Guisley but whatever happens S Parkins name just won't go away. Regarding LUFC if the takeover happens they might consider it but not with bates still in charge, they got some good crowds at belle vue but also had a lot better side than they have know.

| I don't see no grounds for concern at all. Wasn't the idea of giving a relativity long build date of 2015 to give enough time to iron out these kind of issues that usually come up?

When the build comes - it will be quick. It's the paperwork and procedures and 'doing things in the right order' that takes all the time, plus not everyone involved sees things in the priority order that we do.
Nothing to worry about - but all the same, I will be pleased to see us move on to the next level - which I guess will be the release of detailed plans!

| 106 Agreement has been signed so says James Elston....
Had meetings today and things are ticking over... they won't make an announcement for little stuff.
When contracts are signed for diggers etc... then they'll make an announcement.
