Quote Fritzys Mullet="Fritzys Mullet"I have spoken to both him and Francis Maloney about the whole episode and felt quite bad about giving them a hard time.
As a fan, sometimes your club can do no wrong, but when its your job and its paying your mortgage and your getting screwed for quite substantial sums i can completely understand his/there bitterness.
Anyhow, if his son is as good as his Dad was/could have been, we have got a good 'un.'"
It's like all things especially BV things.
I too feel some sympathy for all the players involved including Goulding. Some took it better than others, and if there was ever a player who was going to take it badly it was Bobby - and he had every right too.
However it was never the club that was at fault but rather one person - a certain John Pearman. At the point these top players signed he had taken over the club and was the CEO. He owned the majority of the shares.
Except - he didn't. All the documents were signed but the money never appeared. Then as it all unravelled he did a runner leaving the rest of the BOD with a team they couldn't afford to pay. Hence the CVA.
Pearman was without doubt one of the biggest con men ever to grace RL let alone Trinity - and he was the ex leader of the WMDC!
So the guy who actually owes him the dosh is living somewhere in Amsterdam on last reports.
