I think the point is, that Salford, are pointless!
We travelled...you stayed at home.
That game would have had 8k at Belle Vue...you don't deserve SL.

| I'm assuming it looked nice and empty (apart from the Wakefield end) on Sky. Hope so - that'll serve 'em right!

| Yup. Though I think many saw it as a matter of principle rather than cost, and the latest in a series of poor mistakes by our club. But then, as a Wakefield fan you wouldn't know anything about club-mismanagement...
As I said, good luck in the playoffs.

| "Imagine what fans of Fax, Fev and Leigh must think" watching a club making it into the playoffs that was only kept in Super League due to the fact there was a club run in a more embarrassing way in Super League last year...
There but for the grace of God...

| Fair play to the 500 or so Salford fans who turned up. If be one of those idiots, I mean die hards if the tables had been turned but who can blame the rest who stood up for what they believed in and voted with their feet? would we be happy being made to play a home game at headingley? I very much doubt it. On another note our traveling support was once again fantastic. No matter what happens next week this season has been a big success. Team of the year, something's wrong if we don't get it. Thank you Andrew glover and your team, thank you Richard agar and your staff and thank you to the players. Wakefield trinity wildcats the PRIDE of sporting Wakefield.

Wether or not it was a bad decision boils down to how much you needed the money from Sale (300k a year I've heard???) or where else you could have raised that money?
There have been rumours all season about Salford and possible financial problems, perhaps this deal (and it's obviously got its costs, as seen last night) we're the difference between keeping you going as a viable SL club or ending up like Bradford?
IMO one reason you could be struggling could be your home attendances (not enough income, hence the deal with Sale) and that was also the criticism in this thread relating to the game last night at LSV.
We turned up in numbers as we have done all season, you didn't.
It's a double edged sword (your situation) but one thing that won't help is further reducing the clubs income, although we know more than most that's what is easiest and best at the time.
Time for change maybe at Salford, maybe then you can do a Wakefield???

| Ok, I don't want this to degenerate into an 'our club is better than your club' slanging match. But after the week / season / couple of years we Salford fans have endured, to have the mickey taken seemed a little too much. I chose to take my 9 year old to the match. Neither of us could say we really enjoyed it, but we chose to support our team. I equally support those Salford fans who chose not to attend.
I spoke to a couple of your fans after the match last night and wished them the best at Headingley: good luck in the playoffs.

At least you went!
Fair enough, its clearly a touchy time for all at Salford and it can be difficult for supporters when they see the club they hold so dear being rundown!!

Didn't the club put on any transport to help your supporters attend last night.
The moving of the fixture (both time and venue) was totally unneccessary and must have cost your club plenty and as an advert for the game, in terms of playing in an empty stadium, it was pretty poor.
We should have played you on Friday night, as originally scheduled.
Never mind though, its like that in London every week
