| I'd say in general when a team is on a hot streak ideally you don't want to have a weekend off, BUT i'd say in our case it's slightly different.
I'd say a few players are carrying knocks, it allows us to regroup and focus on how we want to finish the season but it also allows us to concentrate on area's we need to improve to have a chance of making the play-offs.
Let's also remember that as the season has gone on we have improved and i don't see any reason why that won't continue against Widnes.

| I was at BV this morning - full squad were out on the pitch running drills and practising plays; I saw Foxy catch at least two crossfield kicks from Tim Smith, so there's progress!

| The extra time off, followed by a home game, with a winning team, must be good for us.
Certainly better than playing away after losing 5 on the trot.

| Glad the break came after the Hull KR game and not after, now gives the team time to focus on the last two games and get rid of any knocks they had previous.

"Quote" But perhaps most impressive is another bumper Wildcats home crowd – 9,237 for a Saturday TV game in the cold and wet is a fine effort from one of Super League’s most progressive clubs "Gareth Walker the Mirror"

| Something that seems to have been overlooked on here (or at least I've not seen it mentioned) is that we had a poor first half against KR and were lucky to go in at half time still in the game. We stopped doing a lot of the basics which enabled us to win the previous four matches. I'm not sure if that was a result of the effort that had gone in to the previous matches. It may have been down to this being like an early play-off game in that whoever lost was realistically out of the running for the top 8. Probably a combination of both. Either way hopefully the week off gives a chance to focus on getting back to doing those basics right.
