Agree with the majority. If someone had the stats i would Southern would be top of the list percentage wise for landing on his front and as a result i guess he would be near the top for speed of play the ball (get Clarkey on it). Thats not even taking into account his very strong defense.

As Bren says, i dont think either have been terrible but i wouldnt say we have had what you would call good value from them. And before anyone starts guessing how much they are on, nobody really knows do they??

After seeing Mellars look class against us last year, i was quite excited by his signing but he just hasnt really lived up to it. Southern has looked decent imo but we just havent seen enough of it. Be that his fault or the coaches.

Finally who are these giant props you refer to who are so much bigger than their S/R counterparts? Take a look at our S/R's at least two of them are bigger than some of our props. As your missus will tell you, size isn't everything.

Some try to bust, some are all about getting the easier metres and then getting a quick play of the ball away. 12 meters and an 9 seconds play the ball or 8 meters and a 4 seconds play the ball? Depends where you are on the field but both are required during the course of a game.

Danny Cowling should probably keep his trap shut - if he isn't on his way out now, he could be if he makes a habit of passing on details of confidential club matters to supporters, who go on to repeat it on an internet forum; I can't imagine his fellow professionals being too happy about their salary details being bandied about either.

Here here!Vastman thinks you have to be tall and I would think they are world beaters like Captain Kirke at Leeds which isnt true its technique, leg drive, ability to use your fast twitch muscle fibres quickly etc. Southern gets tackled one on one at prop doesnt that tell vastman something? No he just has to disagree for the sake we have won 3 on the bounce and our forwards have dominated we wouldn't dominate with Southern in END OF.
