| Quote: Slugger McBatt "I suspect the RFL would do anything to get through the regular season rounds and hope the Bulls don't make the play-offs. The mess caused by letting them go bust would be the worst case scenario.
The villain isn't the RFL anyway, it's the administrator. What have the RFL done exactly? They have rejected an offer they didn't like and advanced some money that was due anyway. It is the administrator is doing nothing to reduce the expenses, who wants the RFL to fund a top eight squad. It is the administrator who has extended the deadline, nothing to do with the RFL.
I'm no fan of the RFL as a body, because they do seem to apply standards differently, but I can't think much they have done wrong since the Bulls went bust.'"
Is it this years money or future money ? If the Bulls are liquidated and its future money than the RFL can say goodbye to it.
What irks me is that the Bulls do not appear to have made any attemps to repay any of their creditors but continue with the same team with someone else picking up the bills. It sends out the message that you can spend money you haven't got and it it all goes belly up mid season, don't worry the RFL will fund you to the end of the season and who knows, you may make the play off's, find a buyer and all is well again - of couse apart from the poor creditors you don't pay and who may be forced under themselves due to non payment.
Not being hypocrital we went under owing creditors money but we did pay some bills, notablly part of the tax liability by selling Ryan Atkins and Danny Brough and the Administrator sold some of our players. I know that if Newmarket had not of been called in we would have received some monies that would have enabled creditors to be paid although it was probably only delaying the enivatable. But for all our faults at the time the Club was trying to pay bills but it was trying to bail out a sinking ship with a collander. The Bull do not appear to be attempting to pay any bills as far as the public can see
We deserved all we got and if we had ended up in the Championship it was no more than we desrved for the mal-administration of the club and the RFL needs to send out a message that spending money you have not got will not be tollerated - and that includes us if we do it again but AG seems to know what is his doing.

| does seem like rfl are trying to drag them through this season they've not given a new date this time just excuses about looking into the new offers. surely they should have had enough time to decide the outcome of the submitted offers.

I agree with you but no clubs going to cough 200k for either of those - even if it's a fair market price. Not when this time next week they may be free or far less. Ferguson and Murphy did not go to Hudds at their true value so I see no reason why anyone would offer Bradford such a courtesy - but then this is SL I suppose.

| What I don't understand is how the RFL can determine the punishment? There is no firm idea which, if any, consortium will end up owning the club, let alone how they intend to deal with the existing creditors or the future running costs!!!
By the time we had our points deduction we had new owners and AG had made clear his intention to deal with the creditors in a more than fair manner. The two situations could not be more different.
I do want to see BB continue and, preferably, in SL, but I would like to see some efforts both to raise revenue and to cut playing costs by the club itself rather than relying on RFL handouts (up front payments if you like) and the generosity (not seen for any other club previously) by certain clubs with their ticket refunds!
Very frustrating!!!

| The Bulls situation is dragging on and on and its starting to look like the agony may well be prolonged until the end of the current season.
There seems little point in setting any deadlines as they just seem to keep moving the date further on and with the willingnes of the RFL to pay wages etc, why should they rush ?
Mr Guilfoyle must be rubbing his hands as the receivers bill keeps on rising.
It seems increddible that they have kept the squad intact and now that the deadline on signing players for this season has passed (and this deadline wont be moved !), it seems more likely than ever that they will see the season out with their full first team squad.
Why were players not offered for sale as a means of covering the wage bill ?
If this meant selling them at knock down prices, then tough, its a hard life !
The level of assistance and protection being given to the Bulls is making a mockery of the game and whilst most RL fans were sympathetic to their plight at the start of this fiasco, it is now beyond a joke.

| another point to consider, and i do respect their intentions, but the coaching staff etc who are working for nothing are just been taken for a ride.
the players continue as is, the coaching staff do it for nothing.
will the new owners (there will be new owners, that is obvious now) have to pay back some money to the rfl that has been paid to the club. i understand some of this was/is money owed to the club, but would that be enough to pay the players.
anyone who works for bradford or does anything on match days is been taken for a very long ride.

| I was listening to Radio Leeds this evening and on there they implied that the rules had changed and that any club who enered administration would automatically be relegated. I did not realise this, so this is where the confusion lies (with me anyway) in respect of the 'guarateed' SL place. Anyone any further info on this?

| I was under the impression that we were told at the licence time that should we fail on the undertakings that AG made or enter administration again we would be relegated immediately
I thought that it only applied to us
That would be unfair ... But wait !!!!!

| Quote: "With negligible income, Guilfoyle says he has no money to pay the next wage bill of around £200,000, which is due on August 14, but will avoid putting the club into liquidation immediately if the RFL foot the bill.
Guilfoyle, who three weeks ago made 16 full-time staff including the coaches redundant, has consistently declined to sell players in order to raise revenue and is hoping to receive a cash boost from Sunday's home game against Widnes, their first at Odsal for a month.'"

| It's a joke. Guilfoyle is trying to make the RFL the bad guy in all this by saying the club will die if the RFL don't pay wages.
The fact is he has been administrator over extended periods and been subject to not returning/accepting calls or responding to a range of interested parties in a timely manner.
All the bids seem to be at the eleventh hour of extended deadlines.
He continually refuses to reduce the playing staff wage bill through selling players (which equals cash input and lower costs).
The administration is becoming an absolute joke of legendary proportions. The club has been run far beyond its means and now the fans torture is being unnecessarily extended. You've got to feel for the fans and staff made redundant in all of this.
Either buy them out and work within RFL guidance or fold and reform. There will always be professional/semi-professional rugby in Bradford. Losing a franchise for a few years when they are "too big to fail" is no big deal, they will be back again.

Its one rule for one and one rule for the other. I am sick of hearing about bradford. We all know they will come out of this smelling of roses. Did we get any help off the RFL because i did`nt see any.

| Did we get the duff administrator? This guy seems to be holding off selling players,or is he cynically holding on so his bill's pretty high? And who's paying his bill at the moment, thought that was why we had to sell players to make sure the admin company got paid!

| the administrator should now serve notice to all senior playing staff why should the RFL pay the wage bill I am sure that the Bulls could finish the season with 17 young players or a mix of senior players playing for nothing and putting them in the shop window
