I'd be surprised if we retain people like Elima for instance. The only players of any value are probably the young players like Bateman and Whitehead that we have spent a lot of time, money and effort in bringing through to 1st team. Anyone investing in the club with any sense will be looking to re-build the club around those players. If we don't get a firm offer pretty soon I expect there will be little choice but to flog the likes of Bateman and some supporters will get what they've been hoping for.'"
There are 2 things here.
Yes, your club has invested time and money in training/ improving players, but it was money that they couldn't afford.
Secondly, the bitterness that comes from many fans on this forum is due to the fact that the RFL are certainly helping the Bulls plight more than they were willing to assist our own.
Do you not think that Wakefield had put time and effort into the likes of Ferguson and Murphy.
There was no advance money from Sky, to allow us to pay wages and keep a strong squad together, never mind the initial 700k loan from last season and the awarding of a licence to a sinking ship.
Your club has enjoyed some excellent success and had carried on paying grand final wages to a basement team.
As RL fans we would like the Bulls to survive but, the double standards that are applied to clubs within SL are an utter joke.
We have become a sport without principle.

It's well known that you paid silly money to corner the junior market, money you obviously did'nt have.

According to Express they made an offer which was unsatisfactory. In short they were taking the pee. I hope the RFL show some spuds on this and don't budge to the new consortium otherwise it shows a week precedent to other clubs.

By prevaricating in this way, the RFL is allowing the interim management (the administrator) at the Bulls to continue in much the same way that the old management did - spending money they don't have.
It really is about time their hand was forced - if that means cutting their cloth to suit, then so be it; sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.'"
Top word! 21 scrabble points to Bren2k! With an extra 5 for original word used in context and spelt correctly on the forum

The RFL have so far only advanced money that we would receive in the very near future anyway. I'm pretty sure this is something they have done previously for other clubs as well, perhaps even Wakefield at some point.'"
Thats because the Super League are paying their wages !!!!! Thats why the administrator isn't selling anyone. Its a joke

As much as i feel sorry for the run of the mill Bulls fan, anyone trying to justify this nonsense is as bad as the ones that caused the problem, ignored the problem and is currently administering the problem.
The reason the Bulls (or one major reason) are in such trouble is that they have not been living within their means, the fact that is has been allowed to continue to such an extent when creditors have not been taken into account is frankly appalling!!!

It appears to me that everyone on here just wants some consistency with how clubs are treated by the RFL and administrators. Last year the 'sellability' of WTW could have been affected with the sale of top players but luckily it wasn't.
WTW lost key players when they went into administration (Obst, Millard & Ferguson went to top 4 clubs) and we almost did not stay in SL but for Crusaders backing out! This is despite the Bulls dire financial situation being obvious to the RFL when the franchises were being looked at & the Bulls are still now not selling even one of their SL players to pay off some of their debt! WTW had to put a scratch team together which barely competed.
When the franchises were submitted & analysed the Bulls should have gone to the championship then and they may not then have had to ask the public for £1 million to keep them afloat. They appear content for some other clubs to give them their attendance revenue whilst they await a buyer & chase a top 5 spot. It would be ironic if they won the play offs at the end of the season

| In some ways people will look at our situation and think the rfl doing nothing helped us get rid of Ted. With all the help Bulls are given would he still be owner and chairman of our club? Does he have grounds for a lawsuit against the rfl for not helping him when he clearly needed it. Did he lose out financially because of this.? It does raise serious questions on how the rfl come to these decisions and how lightly are they made. Do all clubs sign a disclaimer saying you can't sue the governing body if you feel that you are not been treated evenly. There are laws like this in employment but not sure if same can be applied to the RFL and it's members which are the clubs.

Maybe they can then sell the trophy to raise some more funds! Perhaps the person who bought Fielden's Grand Final Ring would like a trophy to match!

| A bid expected tomorrow from ABC dependent on SL guarantee and buying odsal lease.
This is an interesting corner for the RFL to work themselves out of.

| ABC intend to line the Odsal Bowl with Aluminium Foil and create the worlds biggest Korma. The Denby Dale PIe will look miniscule in comparison.
