Well if Bradford do have to sell players i'd like us to sign elima and sykes permanently given what we got for players last year £10,000 should do it
on a more serious note i hope we could complete some signings for next season in the coming weeks as our friends darn lane have done this morning

Technically you may be correct, however I was under the impression that any deal would be subject to creditor approval? If the creditors could achieve 50p in the pound by liquidating assets (selling players) vs an offer of 30p accepting pr epack option then they would wind up? If they are to retain their playing staff does that not hinge on someone stumping up enough cash to satisfy creditors that it is in their best interests to accept the deal? Given the numbers bandied around its going to take a large cash injection to satisfy creditors such that assets do not need to be sold and fund the business until its cash positive? In the bulls case this would be hefty I would have thought. When we were in this situation it was open season with regard to our players what's different here? Not trying to be argumentative - genuinely interested.

I don't feel particularly threatened by the moves that Cas have made in the player market to be honest; Webster is good but made of biscuits, Gilmour is past it and Shenton has been anonymous at Saints. Meanwhile, the new King of Cas has gone on strike and their young starlet wants out.
I would hope that any signings we do make show a bit more ambition - there's plenty of time yet.

The difference is that the BOD have asked for admin to protect the club from HMRC, following recommendation from the "Independent financial review"
It’s rare that a creditor would get anything like 50p or 30p in the pound in Wakefield’s case Andrew Glover offered to pay some of the "Local" creditors a substantial rate in order to satisfy the administrators that he was a "Good Bet"
Also I suspect (as I have all along) that the Bradford situation will be resolved by a pre-packed agreement and all will be sorted within the 10 day winding up notice, which from memory was only sorted at the 11th hour with Wakey/glover

Thanks for the clarification. Unless money is no object though surely their wage bill will have to be slashed in order to fund future losses? Can't see how they can survive and keep hold of their most talented players.

| Mellers is also on a 3 year deal. AG is not made of money to be able to pay off 2 years of a contract willynilly. He is also not on quota. Now if we were not to take on Mathers. Cockayne to FB Mellers to wing and get another centre, that could be something to think about.

A sensible post. Can't afford to through money away paying off contracts. Think it's a bit early to write off Mathers, but I wouldn't pay him what he's alledgedly on at Cas. How about Walshaw at centre, Mellars to wing and BC to FB?

| I think Mellars at wing, Collis at centre with Walshaw and Cockayne at full back should be tried although I think R.A. looks at Walshaw as purely a second row though.
If thats the case it may be worth giving Liam Kay/Sam Fletcher a run out at wing and Cockayne to fullback as they looked sharp in the 9's.
Lulia would be a quality signing playing alongside Collis if we could afford him and lose John.

And you've worked this out from one or two games OMG
Have to say you're closer regarding Mellors - yet to be remotely impressed - much bigger waste than your current bully victim John - still Mellors is a bit big to name call even from the safety of the seats so you stick to beating up on the younguns

| I enjoyed Marianos performance Sunday hes going to be a very good RL player unless we keep making daft decisions not to play him. Lulia seen him most of the season the lad is class. Cockyne and Lulia partnership would be devastating. Its hard people who are so jelous when I am correct most of the time you peeps cant handle it bow down to the Emperor.
