I sure I'm not the only one that will find the change from playing at Belle Vue to the Newmarket stadium a bit emotional,
I would like you all to remember our past players that sadly won't be able to do so, and I would if the club would allow us to is bring the picture and paintings along in the journey.
Adam Watene might not of been with the squad but Leon Walker was to part of the future that we now can look to build. It was an honour to walk around the pitch with it and would take it to its new home.
We should also look to putting a blue flag that was the Wakefield fleur-de-lis badge on so that too can make its way there too.'"
Very emotional. My attachment to Trinity is thanks to my Dad. About 1970, the first time I was taken...I was only 6 or 7 so it's blurred memories now I'm 49...but I just remember it getting me somehow; sat in block D in the East Stand. The noise...it felt thrilling and it still does. I'm old and cynical now but that memory still is the deep driver. When the day comes we leave Belle Vue, this will be both one of the happiest and saddest days of my life. Adam and Leon...unbelievable losses. Toppo......Toppo, I still get a lump in my throat. He was my first sport hero. And he lived nearby. And my Mum worked at Westgate Motors and took me to meet him. That was bigger than Billy Bremner to me. I was 8 and he took me round the spare parts dept! Brilliant. He called my Mum Auntie Sheil. I wish he could be there.....So yes, it will be emotional!!
