Really pleased for Sykes. You could hear the laughter throughout the league when he signed but he's proving to be a good signing.

He reminds me very much of Tony Martin. He stepped in at 6 and was expected just to do a job, but he has had a new lease of life. Long may it continue.

He would have been in Phil Clarke's team though.

Hmm I thought Mathers had his worst game in a Wakey shirt, but to be fair he manned up and played ok second half. But this isn't a time for picking, as has been said Sykes, Aiton and Washbrook would be my 1,2,3.

He'd been involved twice in the set before taking the final pass and, let me tell you, that still had to be scored! You can tell he loves playing for the club too!'"
Absolutely. If that isn't a good candidate for SL try of the season I don't know what is. Best try I've seen Wakey score in a long time

Has been for 3 games in a row now, him and Washy have been a real pleasant surprise this season.

Agreed by 99.9% of us just one desenter - he knows who he is
However not MOM or the best prop today, that was Amor for me.
However the consistent Raleigh is what we need, he allows for the younger players to have up and down games - so when Amor is on song Raleigh makes him look twice as good!

| Cant argue against Aiton, without question the best signing in recent years down at BV and would probably get a starting shirt at any other SL team too.
I hope he can be tempted to stay for the long term but i doubt it, he will have been picked up on all the big clubs radars.
As for Sykes he has not only excelled individually, but he has given Smith a perfect foil too.
Cockayne and Fox were excellent outlets and Raleigh and Amor ran their blood to water.
From what i can recall through my delerium, i though Mathers probably had his shakiest game so far.
Credit though to all the players, it really was a blood and thunder whole team effort.

| If Paul Aiton played for any other team, Eddie & Stevo would have been declaring their undying love for him at every opportunity.
I hope we can get him signed up on a long term deal before other clubs come knocking - he's outstanding.

| Mathers had a blunder and so did Cockayne as did Amor passing the ball when he should have held on and they got the ball. All 3 of them got over it and went on to play a part in a great comeback. As for MOM it would be equal spoils with Aiton and Sykes who both worked their socks off for the win.Credit to them all its some time since I stood on the terrace and felt as proud of the team 1 - 17 as I did yesterday and gave them a standing ovation after the final hooter.
