| Didn't watch it but......I thought SL Supermen was about the likes of, say, Keiron Cunningham, Andrew Farrell, Sean Long ??
Does JK's playing career match these players? Superman od coaches? Definately.

| I thought KK nailed his colours to the mast when he wanted to go to the Cats, then he openly stated 5 years was enough. There is nothing to compare at this stage, yes JK kept us up got us to a semi and the play offs all over 5 years. There are some short memories on here loads were calling for his head in sticky patches a fewe seasons ago. He didnt want to stay move on, RA deserves a chance and so far he has not had long enough I agree with other nexts eason is the test at this stage next year if we are where we are now then the coach needs a look at

| I don't ever harp back to what I said before because it's easy to crow about being an Oracle because you guessed something once but I was always adament that JK was the right man to take us forward but there weren't many agreeing when times got tough.
Personally it frustrates me how fickle the forum is with posters switching opinion with the wind (or wins!).
Kear had a blazing start and for me is the best coach we have had in my time of watching, and I go back to the 70s.
Now we have Agar he is being treated the same way and unfortunately for him he hasn't been able to have the blazing start to keep him on the right side. I'm not convinced about Agar but I want to give him a 'season long' chance. Not just game to game as some are.

Absolutely correct. I'd have him back in a breath myself.

He's the best coach we've had since Ken Traill!!

Good call re Batten but Toppo's stint wasn't too bad; five for two anybody?

| No disrespect to JK, but I think SL Supermen has run it's course; all the genuine 'supermen' were done ages ago and now they're a bit short of options.
The addition of Sam Tomkins to the 'team' as a way of increasing his salary so he wouldn't flounce off to Union, further undermines it as a credible RL show; it's not for me.

Don't agree there. Still enjoy it and liking the older guys coming on.
And I'm surprised how good Tomkins is.
Breath of fresh air for rugby league.

I'd have voted for a new guy, even if it was Agar. I'd had enough of the one pass no passion rugby, just a shame it's creeping back in

| I wanted JK as head coach mainly as i believed he would improve our defence, and initially he did. He lead us with dignity through a very troubled time on and off the pitch and i doubt anyone else could have got as much out of some of the players as he managed.
That said, it was time for JK & WTW to move on, both needed a fresh start and regardless of who we got to replace him the move was the correct one. Would JK have won more games thus far than RA? Definitely! But, under JK in most seasons, our back end of the season was filled with thumping after thumping.
RA probably isn't the answer, but neither was JK. Both have or had a tough job, but what Kear has always had in his locker is the ability to motivate, inspire and fill players with confidence. That is what were desperately lacking in my opinion, and it can only come from RA as the head coach.

| Agar shoudn't be looking at players credentials, he should be looking at attitude form and ability, he has had long enough now in my humble opinion to have sorted out this lot and be looking at a settled team of players who want to stay at W. Trinity and want to work hard and show pride in the jersey which they wear.

| I think JK did fantastic things for the club as coach but it became stagnant towards the end of his reign as his ideas were becoming dated and predictable and we had limited resources for him to play with. We were too small to play good "completion" rugby league (ie. 5 drives and a kick, more or less how Bradford beat us this season so it can be done well). We couldn't make the yards, tired quickly and made mistakes, but that's the style of hard-working rugby that JK valued.
Kear's former assistant Mr Agar, as others have pointed out, can't motivate a side like Kear could. So we have the odd situation now of having a better "on paper" squad who in fact couldn't bust out of a paper bag because the coach can't fire them up enough for it. Case in point, Johnson was pulling up trees last year and is struggling now and it's likely all in the mindset.
Hull had some excellent players who underperformed throughout his reign as their head coach. Looks like we're doomed to three years of the same. None of us wanted him, even those of us who were willing to give him the chance to prove himself in a new environment. If things improve dramatically on the field under Agar over this licence period, I'll buy him a year's supply of Haribo myself.

| i have not watched the programme yet, but i do know that we needed a change in coaching at the end of last season. we were very predictable.
however any change in coach should be for someone better. i am not an agar fan, and probably never will be (i know he is more knowledgable than i gave him credit for, but i do think he is lacking in other areas)
with the number of coaches available at the time of kears departure we were all excited about getting someone who could take us forward. most people wanted a change, but if asked at the time would not have changed for agar!!
