It's obvious to us that he is a rubbish ref, he always makes mistakes and is unable to us a proper sign when he gives a pen. How many times does he give a pen and you have no idea what he's given it for?

I don't understand why the RFL bother with him, they should get rid and put money into developing another ref.

Old pea head is a clown, has been from day 1. He even manages to baffle Stevo, it doesn't help when certain pundits champion his wacky decisions declaring he's " a character ". He shows no signs of improving , Alibert out !!!

Agreed with you when it happened and agree with you now, still have a hard time accepting it and by rights we turned over Warrington and Catalans two games running and should have been 2 points better of right now and maybe the vibe would be a bit different around the place.

Half the problem is there aren't many of those available either. Let's be honest, if it really was easy money, half the members of this site would be volunteering. We have enough experts, and a fair proportion of them can probably count from 1 to 6 as well.

Can they not use that device that Dickie Bird used to carry in his pocket to count the number of balls in an over?

Apart from a couple of tries scored from forward passes and blowing up for every suspected bit of holding down for the first 20 mins, then ignoring it for the rest of the game and letting Wire get away with murder.

On that subject - what's happened to Benny Westwood? He's turned into a reet dirty get.

I think it has a lot to do with the dirty gytes he's playing with, Morley is by far the dirtiest player in SL, how many forarm tackles to the head does he do in a game? Bridge is a nasty niggly gyte too and Briers...well briers (also needs a haircut and a shave )

We now had 6 FT so called professional refs and video technology yet the standard of refereeing in RL is a an all time low as for the linesmen we may as well put two guide dogs on the line with flags
week in week out we see forward passers nonexistent play the balls etc etc and sadly blatant cheating is coming into our game
We have a ref who cant count and gets a one game ban its pathetic
Sack all the FT refs go back to part time and scrap the video ref for me

seriously though, I feel the general standards are ok with the occasional hitch as we have always had - the big difference for me is in the fitness of the officials nowadays compared to say pre SL

the VR has been brilliant IMO - especially on premier Sports where the ref is actually heard talking the move through with the VR and explain the decision - great innovation,again IMO

If the standard of reffing was as bad as SL in the fannyball premiership, then we would hear about refs getting the sack and not 1 match bans, our game is currently at an all time low IMO with the standard of reffing only being one thing, but is probs the easiest to put right, the linesman are a total joke but I have heard that some ref's tell linesman that they only want them to flag for touchline infringements and nothing else, so the ref makes every decision other than the player/ball going in to touch

Needs sorting, some of the stuff being shouted from the sidelines at linesmen and ref is disgusting but it is not totally unexpected when you have "Paid {Professionals" doing a pretty poor job, if they performed that badly in a normal day to day profession they would be in a queue down thornhill street or wherever the local jobcentre plus is in their town
