Recipe for disaster I know what you're saying but the fact is it shouldn't have been a recipe for disaster, the campaign was done for the good of the club and match day atmosphere but it seems some people came wanting to cause trouble.

I don't really think either club helped the matter.
In my opinion Wakefield went too far in the build-up, which very much stoked up the rivalry between the fans with slogans such as "this city is ours" being inflammatory. They then annoyed Castleford fans by saying they were 'banned' from certain areas of the ground, and could only use certain turnstiles. It's almost as if they were asking for trouble.
Richard Wright didn't help with his statement that fanned the flames further.

It was never about segregation at all, it was about getting all Trinity fans under one roof to create a better atmosphere, which most of our fans were very keen to do and take advantage of.

Sorry to post this but only word I can think at this time is sc um. My partner was hit by a GLASS bottle that was thrown across the north stand. Before any 1 says we both have a majority of bad fans, don't go there. Must have Been 50 missles thrown across which police ejected a large amount of wakey fans. Hats off to cas fans who didn't react. But some long bans r handed out. And well done to your BOD this was Always going to happen. This time I've walked out a away game and took my top off for my own safety. Sorry genuine fans but a disgrace.

To add to my previous post having thought about it.
By encouraging this "Go North" idea, have the club simply put together all the idiots that would have previously been spread around the ground, and therefore outnumbered by decent fans and not encouraged by other idiots?

Whilst I realise that you are vexed off, as I would be if my missus had been struck by a missile, please don't come on this board and say your fan's did not react. It was 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. Neither side are innocent! There was plenty of missiles coming over to 'our' side and many connected with innocent people...just like your missus.

A few my of reacted but look at number of rejections no were near 6 of 1 and half of the other. A reaction is exactly what it was. Could have been worse I suppose. and veked off is not the word.

You probably don't but the club decided it would be a good idea to put them all together, and they then managed to influence the behaviour of those who wouln't usually cause problems.

If i come to Cas and get told to stand in a particular section of the ground, i will not behave like an animal and i don't believe you did or would so i don't agree with you at all.

It lies firmly with drunken stupid idiots and no one else, i ain't defending the club mate but come on, if fans are dim and filled with beer it will happen.

No excuse for it.

It is deffo both sets of fans was at it bottle being thrown from both sets of fans, but I did notice was Key security and police tiurnand face the wildcats fans all the way through, while Cas fans was goading wakefield fans with the odd bottle being thrown at Wakefield fans and every time a wakefield fan reacted they was chucked out, but none or very few Cas fans did, I was stood on the cas side of the thin blue line and witnessed this, as I complained to police and key security, all I got was shut up or we will throw you out, and I have never been throwm out since 1979 a disgrace by Key Security...
