| Quote: bren2k "Without wishing to be hyper-critical of the RFL - I saw the picture on the side and recognised the kit and/or the player; if you're not a fan, I fail to see what impact that would have if you were flashing past the thing at 70 on a busy motorway.
Looks like a good deal for Stobart and an awful deal for RL; it has the hallmarks of a last minute thing, done because the season was about to start and there were no better offers on the table; personally, I'd have been ok with the bookies - gambling may be a problem for some people, but so is booze, yet we seem comfortable with Magners.'"
I also had no problem with the bookies. I know a bloke who was quite high up with a transport company as big as stobarts. He reckons he would have took the bookies £750K and then could have put the same amount of advertising on the same number of wagons for £250K

| Saw the Leeds one at 5.15pm Friday evening at J27 of M62
I have done just short of 3500 miles this month and that's the first one I've seen.
In my job IO cover the north of the UK from Derby nottingham stoke north, see around 30 stobbart lorries a day but only seen one SL trailer

| Perhaps these trailors are being used in scotland, south coast etc rather than in the heartlands of the game?

| I saw two last Thursday (I think they may secretly be buses) the Castleford one was headed east on the M62 about 8ish in the morning when I was stuck in a traffic jam, and I saw one heading west on the M62 as I was on my way home; I think it was the London one but I'm not certain as I was driving in the opposite direction at the time.

| i have heard the wigan one has been removed from the roads as it had a picture of loveable sam tompkins smug face on the back and people were constantly ramming it.
there is no wakey lorry as it is now a shudds lorry as it got there on time a couple of times.
and you will notice the cas lorry as it has an odd number of wheels.
the london lorry is a lot smaller but under rfl guidance it IS A LORRY! not a van.
and of course, sigh, rather predictably, the widnes lorry is the one without the wheels
all merely heresay and will not stand up in court as they are allegations made by people i met and not my own views

| further update hehehe
All other team lorries visiting Widnes will not run on tarmac, or any other surface where lorries have traditionally run, instead they wil run on an Iroad, which is the same except, the lorry cannot change direction without its wheels falling off. thus making the lorries equal in wheel availability.
the loiner lorry just spotted, it has a picture of Ryan Bailey on it, so your ok to pass if your a lorry but if your in a corsa its likley to violently swerve in your direction.
and, yawn, the salford lorry is just sat, really relaxed, in a layby, with lots of smoke coming out of the back, listening to pink floyd.

| and finally, lucky me in my lorry spotting task;
I have seen the Bradford lorry
its a good lorry, a bit old because they cant afford a new lorry, due to paying for a really expensive welsh lorry some years back, its parked up in their lorry park, it a landfill in bradford, below the top of a hill, gets a lot of rain, lorry has to get up hill, now to get the lorry out, the water in the lorry park needs clearing so the lorry wheels can get a grip, so obviously the water has to be removed, but thats ok because the RFL, who are fair and benign in their lorry park decisions;
HAVE OF COURSE BAILED THE BRADFORD LORRY PARK OUT WITH THEIR BIG BUCKET THAT THEY SAVE SPECIALLY FOR SUCH EMERGENCIES!
ah satire

just got an update from a friend in hull re the lorry situation.
the lorry is trying to go backwards, and the co driver has been asked to get out and help with the reversal. thus he was instructed to issue to the driver instructions as to whether to be for forceful or rather gentle.
the driver heard the following, which unfortunately didnt end up in a lorry park without fish distribution;
gentle gentle, yes yes no, no that didnt go well, now gentle out again, and lets try again.
when is a door not a door, when is agar!
