Quote: berro's best mate "no, im wondering why it all went tits up at fc for him, he seems to have a young fresh squad at wakey..wereas at fc, he had players well past there best, inwhich he brought in i might add.........'"

Which ones were well past their best? We'll take O'Meley off your hands for a few weeks if you like. Or Sam Moa?

and I'm also happy with Danny Washbrook so far. He was surplus at Hull but looks great for us. Different players (and coaches) obviously perform differently in a new environment.

Too early to tell really, but so far so good.

He played Wood to good effect at Widnes, and left the older Ellis out of the squad.

As I am led to believe his team selection was hindered by the board at Hull, that said this is second hand information so I am not going to stake my life on it.
But if this is the case I wish you guys all the luck in the world with future team selection issues.

I think we the Wakefield fans should have a well deserved pat on the back. Yes we couldve made him feel unwelcome , gave him some stick , had a total downer on him. But we have been positive let him do things his way and so far its paid off.

Were you on holiday or something when he was announced as the coach icon_lol.gif There were some right digs made on here! icon_lol.gif

For what its worth I think he will do OK for you guys. For me he was always a cheap option when Peter Sharp was sacked and he had 18 months of a lot of players being injured. He seemed to lack passion or motivation when we played/lost against the Dobbins which irked me. He certainly was'nt helped by the last board with regards to player recruitment etc. either. You lot seem happy with him, we are happy with our new coach so lets just get on with it all and try to remain friends, thats what I say!

Wow. That was a very considered answer compared to some of your club's other less balanced view fans.
Be careful. They'll make you sit on your own if they find out who you are.

Apart from the snipes at Agar this year, I think Wakefield has always had a good relationship with Hull fans and club. I've always had a soft spot since the 80s kiwi trio, Topliss and Sterling days when I used to watch Hull a lot.

Yeah I agree - when they unfurled that banner in our support a few years ago I took to them, my first away game was the Boulevard and they hate Leeds as well which is a bonus.

Saying that, I do remember a Hull fan stealing a Wakefield scarf late 70s early 80s and climbing up the shed at the old Boulevard and setting fire to it.,........but it was all in the best possible taste?!! icon_biggrin.gif

Crikey, that's a first! You can come again. icon_thumb.gif

To the OP - how about you try to move on? It certainly looks like Richard Agar has managed it.
