| Quote: snowie "two year ago the lads got to the barla U12s final at Fev and on that day they played Hunslet Parkside, they got niled, they never seem to score against them and the defeats was always heavy. They hadn't been beaten in that season and the task was a hard one,
we was grateful for the day but the defeat and taunts afterwards help bond them into the side today, nine of the players from that team still remain.
as U13s they got to the semis so its something that they do not want to lose this season
at the beginning of the season we played a friendly at Skirlaugh where Steve MacNamara was there, his comment on that game was he had never seen a side of that age play so devastating rugby 30 -0 up at half time
this will be an entertaining game and be well worth coming to watch'"

Is it me or have you shot yourself in the foot here?
Are your saying that 2 years ago your lads were hammered in a cup final and yet now they have bounced back and are finalists expecting to win?...
So what good would seeding have done your lads 2 year ago... and were would they be today???

still it doesn't give for a good final
bye the way two of the parkside players are now with us and we have 3 from crigg and another 4 good newcomers
parkslide are a shadow of their former self due to a fall out

| well the lads are all primed and ready after a good run out today
no injuries with hopefully our regular full back returning after three weeks away so we would be just one player from full strength and that's after our first league game where he had dislocated his knee.
he will be ready to return come the new year
and here's a beauty Outwood school wants to play its match this weds and won't cancel for the week after
they never learn

YEP , kettlethorpe had a similar problem when playing outwood .
i guess its all about what side of the fence you sit in , some say school is more important . Ketty sent a weakened squad and gladly squeezed through the BARLA semis.
they may be outta the cup now in schools terms but the ones who put loads into rugby have a final.
i hope your lads get through OK with no injuries

To be fair to Outwood the lads probably get more time training for RL at school than they do for Stanley, they've also learned a huge amount about playing big games from their experiences in the Carnegie Champions Cup, the school takes the sport seriously. There might be any number of reasons why they can't postpone their games, it might not be just stubbornness on their part.
