I'm also extremely excited at all our signings so far but especially big Ali and livewire Cockayne always tends to wind the opposition up and get in their faces. I'm sure our defence will be a whole lot tighter, let's face it we've leaked far too many points in recent seasons but going forward we've been pretty useful so I'm very confident we'll make huge strides this coming season and I'm another who cannot wait. Hopefully they'll be able to gel quickly, that's always a problem with a lot of new signings but a good pre season and bonding together it'll not take too long. Bring on the fixtures, I'm buzzing!!

Personally i think Mellars will be the one to watch. He's as good as Richards in the air and he's a big unit out wide with good hands too. Hopefully we'll use him effectively. I also think Ellis at Hooker will prove to be a very handy acquisition.
That said, we've basically a complete new squad. It's going to take about half the season for them to fully gel as a unit. So my expectations will remain low early on

i will judge the conditioning of the team by the condition mr lauititi is in in the first couple of games. if he is fit he could be amazing for us, my great fear is that he was carrying a bit too much this year at leeds. |
