Dale Morton
Kevin Penny
Gareth Moore
Matty Wildie
Liam Higgins
James Davey
Frankie Mariano
Paul Johnson

Kieron Hyde
Mariano & Wildie signed mid-season and will be among the 'untouchables' along with Johnson. Of the rest Morton & Davey are needed come what may as club trained players so all thats left is Penny, Moore, Higgins, Howarth & Hyde.'"
Morton signed a new deal last december, moore's contract runs out next year as does higgins's, howarth's, johnson's and hyde's
tbh i don't see the need for kyle wood if we were gunna run out of room regarding the salary cap, what a massive cock up this is turning out to be

If he is still dating / married to the ex Whinos lead cheerleader / ex X Factor band camp member then surely she could work somewhere.

This may be all about timing. Had we officially off loaded Korky when this was said.
Maybe that allows us to fit him in ?

Yes they are all under contract, doesn't mean they won't be leaving though. Just need to find them a good home.

| To be fair if this group of players how it stands is anywhere near the salary cap whatsoever Agar, Elston & Glover should all be shot. But there's not a chance on earth it is so no need for the firing squad.
Pretty sure this part of the rumour at least can be dismissed as a load of old betty's

| We won't be operating at full cap for next year but the cap for us will be considerably more than 2011. And I think we have recruited well bar a bit of a shortfall at prop.
We have to accept that we may have had to offer players such as lauititi, southern, Ellis, Tim smith, Isaac John and others slightly higher than others may have offered due to our 2011 downfall.
If we can fit Dowes in with smith and John I think we look a much fiercer animal than 2011.

A slightly dramatic turn of phrase, don't you think?

| Quote: ry21 "Penny's rumoured salary should be enough alone to get Dowes under the cap.'"
Where did that rumour come from?
Why would Penny have been on anything other than a low wage in a season when most of the squad were on a low wage?

| There are two limits.
One is the maximum any team can spend, the other is relative to your income.
I think we will struggle with the second one for a while.
So there is no promise broken there.

| I spoke to Ewan Dowes the other week in Chiquito's (Kingswood) and he said he had signed a one year deal for you guys. Off the cuff I asked him if the rumours about Paul Cooke returning to Wakey, and he said he had heard Rich Agar had sounded Paul out. I think the signing of Smithy (if true) puts an end to that story!
I reckon your squad for 2012 is looking in good shape, albeit on the skinny side, but much better than last season with the likes of Smith, Ellis, Raleigh and Lauiti.
Erm poptart, you are wrong. There is only the one limit which is in place for all SL clubs - £1.65m.

Another fantastic effort at winning the Apprentice!!!
You can only spend what you can afford or you can generate. The club is doing fantastically well at driving revenue up - hence we will be spending something like 75% more this year than last on players - but that only takes us up to around the £1.4m - a tremendous effort and more than ever before. The promise is that we will be at our SC limit in our third year in SL - and that is in the licence application - so we are bang on track - and, unlike your well thought out plan, we are not spending above our means and risking returning to where we were 12 months ago!

He's right, he's refering to the self imposed limit of £1.3m.
