| Quote: Tommy Duckfingers "Good signing this, pleased to see we have gone down this route - welcome back Kyle!
Hopefully he will, with a seasons worth of SL experience under his belt, improve next year for us and be up there as just about our best forward like this season. Hope 2nd season syndrome doesnt get him, cos he could be a very, very good forward and I hope we can somehow keep him long term, comes across as a very good proffesional too.
Makes you wonder what Leeds are playing at though.....'"
It's good thinking by GH. At the mo we have 6 props, and Amor is behind them in the pecking order. It's far better to get him game time at another club, with the ability to recall him if injuries or a lack of form justify it.
I think he's a good prospect, but another 6 months of development can only be a good thing all round for us/Wakey and the lad himself. Hopefully, he'll kick on and claim a position at either clubs.
Of course, the usual suspects on here who regularly spout their smalltown anti leeds bigotry might not take kindly to our generous actions, but I'm sure when they see Big Ali out there performing for you as well, then there'll be big portions of humble pie to be chomped on in the touchline bar......

Yeah but you didn't mention the recall aspect, so your information was duff.
Good signing though, much rather have Amor than Moore.

| Very happy we have him for the 2012 season and have provisionally signed him for 2013 & 2014.
If this was the only way we could have kept him by having this clause inserted then so be it. I do have a suspicion Leeds will recall him but atleast where looking better for next season. If leeds do take up the offer it atleast gives us a fair bit of time to look elsewhere.
Think it's a win win for us and the lad and a loss for Leeds as he'd contribute to their team next season but Leeds have the escape clause.
Well done JE & AG.
Very Happy!

| Just to confirm, we basically have him on loan this year and then have him signed on a 2 year deal from the end of next season???
Just checking, if for example Kyle went back to Leeds 3 months into next season and did well, can Leeds then offer him a contract extention??

| Excellent signing, seemed to falter after showing big potential in his days in the lower leagues, the move to Wakefield probably saved his SL career, and his performances have proven him to be a SL standard player who is only going to get better.

| I think reading between the lines he has signed a 3 year deal at Wakefield.
He will remain at Wakefield for the whole 2012 season but with a clause that at the end of 2012 if Leeds want him then he will be signed at Leeds for 2 years that remains most possibly on the same contract terms but different club.
So he is a Wakefield player but the clause allows Leeds to offer him a contract if they so wish while he is under contract with us.
Good signing, was good for us last year.

| Don't get it.
Whats the 3 year contract all about if Leeds can still recall him
So he is not a signing then but still a loan player.
Somebody please explain in really simple terms what it's all about.

Effectively, we have him on loan but we guarentee we are the only team he can move to if Leeds don't want him.
If there was no contract another team could have come in to buy him.

He still has a year left on his contract so rather than release him Leeds are effectively loaning him out again. Naturally if he tears it up in SL next season after his promising first full season Leeds may wish to keep him (offer him a contract extension), if not than Trinity are legally waiting with a 2 year contract if/when he leaves Leeds.

| Hopefully Kyle will recognize that Leeds are only bothered in him if they have injuries/lack of form whereas we want him now and are showing such by offering him the 3 year contract.
Leeds have an option to recall him and to offer him an extension if they do but what's to guarantee him that if that happens he won't find himself out of contention again at the end of next year.
In reality he has more chance of winning something in the near future with Leeds than he does with us - but only if they ever decide to pick him. At least with us he knows he will be getting picked and played. I know which option I'd choose - hopefully Kyle will feel the same.

| Sorry for being really thick but can somebody please answer these for me. 1. If we are half way through next season and looking like a play off place ( and Leeds aren't ) what's to stop them taking him back to ruin any chance we may have? Hypothetically of course. 2. Should he go back to Leeds half way through next season and Leeds then decide to sign him perminantley what happens to the three year deal he has signed with us? 3. If he has signed a 3 year deal, when does it start because this year he is in effect only on loan isn't he?
