That's how I see it too. IMO there's no reason to delay confirmation (unless Agar isn't the coach and we're all jumping to conclusions?)

I could go along with the idea of waiting until after the last game when no-one is really sure but The Times didn't say "likely" - they said "Agar joins Wakefield"

In these circumstances, even if as a club you'd prefer to wait, you have to say something. Saying nothing only leads to a lot of frustrated supporters (and possibly players). Look at the the threads on here. Best to say something definite, put forward the reasons for the appointment, let everyone have their say and then get on with preparing for Bradford.

Whoever it is we'll still be there at Belle View, still moaning, occasionally feeling good, always hoping. Let's start feeling positive now - it's a long off-season!

Man I'm feeling your pain, I once rubbed some on a stiff neck as a little one not realizing how hot the stuff was, few mins later got an itchy eye, few hrs later I stopped screaming.

That's what gets me about this.
No matter who the coach is I will still want to attend next year, I can't help it, it's in my blood. As it is for many others.
The club is offering people a chance to go see the games next year for under £8 a game and we still look like we are not going to get enough takers.

I am fairly sure the club will be doing all they can to appoint the best coach they can get to take this club forward, why would they not????

I don't know any of the (alleged) prospective candidates personally and I am sure the same could probably be said for the majority of the people on here or on the terraces at Belle Vue.
I may have ideas regarding who I would like to be coach but that person or persons have to want to come to Wakefield otherwise why bother.

People are saying we don't want coach A or coach B, we want coach C but if coach C is not interested in coming to us then we may have to settle for A or B as they are the ones who want the job.

Whoever it is will get my backing until such time as they prove they are not capable of taking Wakefield forward and that cannot be judged by anyone until we have at least seen who it is, who we sign as a result and more importantly how the team actually plays under the new coach. So the new coach will get at least half a season before I start to decide whether he is the right appointment. I would like to think that after the announcement has been made and the dust has settled that others would afford the new man in charge at least a chance to prove himself.
