| Given the high profile launch it was given, it bugs me that the results when announced always seem low profile. I may be wrong (and apologies if I am) but the only place I've seen any draw details are via the link at the foot of home page on the clubs website.
If this is the case, and the website is the only place to see the result we are mising out on potential members who do not have access to the internet.
I'm in, having paid a years subs up front in one go ( had some overtime at work ), but like the OP I am a little disappointed by the way things are going. Couldn't give a monkeys whether I win or not as £2 a week is neither here nor there, but it does seem that the enthusiasm at the launch has not been carried through to the operating of the lottery.
I'm sure it's already been suggested but why not have the draw made on the pitch by a supporter plucked from the crowd during the season or a non playing member of the squad.
Find a way to give the draw a bit of profile in the off season
Put the result in the Wakey Express
I can uderstand the frustration of the OP

People can criticise but my point is that 1873 has the potential to be great, to not receive one e-mail in three months is not great, to have no winners above £20 in three months is not great. You need publicity and promotion to keep this thrng rolling otherwise its just another variety of squadbuilder and how many members did that have...'"
This is not the first time this as been raised and like boyems just said i think it needs tweaking to encourage none fans into joining up.
I'd stick with it because i would imagine it may well be tweaked a little to offer value to outsiders, i may be wrong but you should contact the club and tell them the concerns you have.
In fairness to the club they have been stretched chasing coaches and the Celebrate Wakefield party so its maybe been a busy time.

Unless i'm missing something there is a virtual guarenteed roll over week with a few (one this week) £20 offerings. i've not received any additional information or e-mails for being a member (not sure if this is the case for everyone) and the promised extra prizes (which would take no organising) have not yet arrived.
All in all a poor show, have bought a season ticket for next year and think i would rather spend the 1873 money in the club shop....'"
Totally agree with you here mate. On another thread I worked out the odds were something like 94% of it not being won on any particular week. Those odds are not worth while imo and i'd rather 'donate' my cash through the turnstile or shop. I think they should just give everyone a membership number and draw one per week, at least someone always wins then.

On another note, were we supposed to receive membership cards for it?'"
You can pick your card up at the club shop.

Membership cards are available for collection from the club shop. I personally think they should have been sent by post but if you go into the shop they let you have your card shosing name, number and of course your four chosen numbers.

| As far as the scheme goes, you can view "no winners" as a good thing, because is simply increases the funds going into the club.
Although we would all like to win, this isnt really the point of the scheme.

never said it was a charity....it wont sell to anyone that isn't interested about Trinity or seeing rugby grow in Wakefield so no I don't even see the potential for it to be greater like you said.... this scheme is about helping out at the lower level, the youth that is coming through.....why should you need an email the club puts on their website weekly and I was told will contact you if you win, prizes of £20 just about pays for the quarterly payment

| Think the draw should be published at least in the WE. My Mum, who is 82, joined and has asked where the results are published. She has never been near a computer and we need to remember that not everyone has access to the internet

by that method you don't get the chance of winning
whens the last time you won the national lottery (if you play it)

Spot on and why people can't see that I don't know. Those who talk of it spreading further than Trin fans are deluded we struggle to get fans to sign up to stuff so getting non fans is a non starter. In general the people of Wakefield will be happy to join in if it's free, you get something back and you have to make little to no effort at all.

Mr. Glover had a choice to buy the club, did he buy it purely for philanthropic reasons? Mr. Glover also has much deeper pockets than many on here do I suspect too! His choice to buy the club, and the same choice of supporters to either back Club 1873 or not.
