| Remember the season after Wembley we had 3 shirts all traditional with bands
White with Red/Blue
Blue with Red/White
And red with blue/white and a blue collar only wore 2/3 times but once on Grandstand V Hull at home in the JPS Cup we hammered them and Fletch scored a great try. I had that shirt it was ace

| personally i would like to see a shirt something like the addidas shirt for next season with a predominately blue shirt away shirt and maybe a 3rd shirt predominantly red. think the club should also re-release the 92 yorkshire cup shirt[ we are still the holders] and re-release the 60s shirt including the 63 shirt with red and blue v,think it would be a good idea to release the grand final shirt of 99[1st winners].

This years kits are nice fititng but very bland designs.
Ive always liked our black away kits especially the atlantic soloutions
A few NRL Teams do this. Cronulla Sharks are letting the fans choose one of their 3 (awful) away strips this year. Gold Coast Titans got the fans to choose their blue, yellow and white team colours when they first formed.
I think its a good idea and increases identification with the team - of course there is always the danger that the fans might come up with something really horrible but the designers seem to manage that withour our help....

| The new shirt supplyer must have a strange tape measure. To get a shirt that fits you have to get one 3 sizes larger than normal. Go back to the old supplier KOOGA

They are European sizes so if it says Large on a shirt it is only a medium and so on.

thats the style these days im afraid, good for fit young rugby league players (see hickey) but not so flattering for the middle aged beer guttted fan... im happy with mine, im usually a M/L and the large is a great fit, best one weve had for a while now, the last one i bought was our first year in super league, the rest have all been mediocre designs but i like this years very much.

| its been mentioned once on this thread and I would also like to back it up,
keeping the the same strip year in year out would be a loser to the club the design has to change to keep interest with all the fans, where some can remember the classic white with red and blue bands other only have seen them in photos.
I liked the white shirt last season but didn't buy it because of the neck line, poorly made it put me off.
this season dark blue, I liked the style and colour but the finish was poor and has proven to be of poor material and hasn't lasted the full season before going bobbley, I did hesitate buying it under the richardson regime and only bought it to help the club tick along with Mr glover at the helm.
so while my preference is to see a full white home kit whether hooped or vee'd red and blue bands, we will have to move with the times and understand that the club has to move forward so anything the club comes out with I will support.
I only ask please don't treat us with the dire quality that we have had to suffer with the last kits

The art is to have fundamentally the same design but just variations of it, so that there is always a new shirt but remains a recognisable brand. Hull FC manage to do it very well. Always instantly recognisable as a Hull shirt.

You are spot on. This is something that I think football teams do better than rugby teams.
I think that our problem is that if you look through all our shirts throughout our history we have never really had a set design as such.

my gripe has been the quality if any

And Saints and to an extent Leeds (apart from that horrible quartrs shirt and the pink, which I think is for chariable reasons?).
Other iconic looks are the all red of Liverpool and the black and White stripes of Newcastle Utd.
Change the collars, swap the bands for a v, the thickness of the bands and v's, alternate yearly a new home and away shirt.
It's the iconic look of Wakefield Trinity, a marketing tool not to be underestimated, and our brand identity.
We have it for free, company's spend millions developing one and we have one ready made and for free because of our heritage.
It's not rocket surgery, it really isn't.

Agreed. And don't get Jackson Pollock to design the bugger. Create someting that looks like a rugby league shirt, in good quality, with the team colours on it, and people will buy it.
