If Griffin has a better attitude (in a sulk probably because his move to Crusaders hasnt worked) and providing he dosent have a bad injury i could see him being quite a good second row with his power and pace i think he could be like Frankie.
Also i would prefer Morton to Semi i think he could be quite good given more game time.

Age, the lack of genuine pace and the fact he is not english. We should be developing our own wingers.

Keeping Semi does not in my opinion show progression.

Henderson has been a dependable rock for years and we know he will run through Walls.

But, i think it's time we looked for another option at second row.

Hendo is a bit like the canary down the pit. When he starts to look like one of the better players you know the team is in trouble.

I wouldn't argue with that but things don't all happen at once do they. There is no one who Semi is holding back IMO and the fact that he isn't English is an utterly flawed argument - so what. As for his pace, we could have Lynford Cristie on the wing he wouldn't score a try. We do not and probably will not have the players next season to create 80 yard tries. Our wingers will be required to crash over from 20 yards, Semi can do that just fine.

Just because Semi is in the squad doesn't mean he has to play, if Johnson or Griffin come on leaps and bounds next year he will lose his place to them. The point of a good Coach is to spot that and allow it to happen, you don't get rid of players and replace them with younger ones for the sake of it.

RL has always been a game of mixed ages and the balance it brings. You advance the whole of Wakefield Academy in one go we won't win a game.

I agree about Semi. He has won me over so far.
Hendo, I would still keep. When you need someone to plug the gap, he is it. He would probably be happy being a fringe player so good for the squad. I know he isn't for everybody but we need what he does and he does it well.

It's exactly the point for me. No need to have mediocre imports anywhere near the squad, time for us to make a change and do away with the Trinity of the recent seasos. We have banged on about how much of a hotbed the game is around these parts and how we produce SL quality players so we shouldn't need to rely on the likes of Semi, Smith, Hendo, Tony, Korki etc to field a team.

Agree, if we are to keep Lee that is. Powerfull hooker to start, interchanged with the much more lively Ellis after 25-30 mins much in the same vein as the top sides.

Yes but there is no point replacing mediocre overseas players for an even more mediocre British one. There has to be a balance, you limit the coach far to much if you have a blanket policy. If the coach feels Tadulala or whoever adds to the squad so be it.

I know we don't own a few of them yet, but all realistic signings and back the side up with our own youngsters. I'd get rid if Griffin, Hendo, Howarth, Vievers, Blaymire and possibly Korki.

All mediocre ish to a lesser or greater degree wingers either available or rumoured to be available - I don't think there is any need to keep an ageing import when there all these potential options available. Granted non of them world beaters but let's not kid ourselfes about how good Semi is.
