It's 3 of the 5 jumps but still 3 jumps therefore "Triple Jump" is correct.

When teaching kids, who generally have a hard time coordinating, how to do the triple jump. You should get them to think about their landing at the end of each phase of the jump, they should get used to saying "Same - Opposite - Both".
This helps them to coordinate their first few jumps, motor skill aquisition takes place and is then followed by motor skill development which ultimately leads to them performing the triple jump almost entirely without conscious cognitive thought.

Do they, er, wonder off at all?? or cry? ...its jumping in the air and trying to go a long way!

A full on disscusion about triple jump just because somebody got a name wrong...amazing...

i went to a game at belle vue a long time ago when Jonathan davies was playing for widnes. he received the ball just in front of his own posts - terrace end - he dummied and he sent the whole defensive line the wrong way . ran the full length of the pitch and scored - i think ! Blooming amazing !
