The terracing rises at such a narrow angle that more than 10 rows back you can't see the deadball line and by half way up you're miles from the pitch with no chance of seeing any in-goal action. It's gonna take one hell of a roof to cover it.'"
By the sounds of it, it’s a completely new structure with the old bank getting demolished.

Good point, baring in mind i think the idea is to start with new concrete, a steeper gradiant and higher step may be in order.

| Just because you can't see every nook & crannie doesn't make it a bad view.

| My understanding is that planning permission was granted a number of years ago, but the work was never done; am I making that up?

I thought we wanted to, but faced objections from the local councillor about the detrimental effect this would have on the quality of life for local residents.

I thought it had been given the go-ahead, but I could be wrong; it would of course be criminal to impinge on the leafy idyll that is Agbrigg.
Either way - is it even possible that AG and his team would 'forget' the small matter of planning? I very much doubt that, so for now I'll assume that it's been dealt with, one way or the other. I am sure that details will follow.

If it came from Ted it probably wasn't true anyway.

Planning permission expires, so if it was more than 3/5 years ago it would need another application.

| Hopefully if PP is needed it has already been submitted,if not it could be squeaky bum time again and in good old Trinity tradition another knock back, but in AG I think we have the club in good hands,so hopefully everything has been taken into account and dealt with accordingly.

Seems that Barnsley is still an option with an agreement signed that can still be taken up.
Does this mean that the rumour that the RFL didn't want us moving out of Wakey is true, hence why BV is being renovated?

| Not all planning permission requests have to go to the committee, in fact most don't! Most are dealt with what they call delegated powers, powers that planners legally have to approve planning applications if certain conditions are met. Otherwise the planning committee would have to sit at least one day a week... which they can't! I think that this will be looking at dealing with this under delegated powers, but if not possible, it will breeze through the committee, there is nothing that is going to effect anyone or anything in any way at all.

[quote="headhunter":lnxdgxk2]Union people are idiots. They almost universally accept that league is a better, faster game played by better athletes, yet for some reason they continue to disregard and belittle it. That game is tedious as hell from start to finish. If he'd ever played or even bothered to give more than a fleeting chance to league he would realise that the game is far more 'technical' than Union ever could be. Booting the ball into touch, scrummaging and forming rucks and mauls aren't areas that involve any skill, technique or mental capacity whatsoever. These are clumsy, outdated facets of the game that are also extremely uninteresting to watch and thus have to be defended in some way by people who are too prejudiced to see the truth.[/quote:lnxdgxk2]: |

| Dont get this? I thought BV was due to be ripped down at the end of the season regardless as the planners that owned it wanted to build and the ground was condemmed due to a lack of safety certificate (as was the case with KR) - Seems a bit strange to me that your now stopping?
