| His kicking especially on there line was rubbish, they went dead or the centre cleared up with no opposition on him, in fact it took 75 minutes to put a ball with some height on it which created a try . One other thing ,when we had 2 penalties in our half why did we do a quick tap while the wind was behind them ?

Don't disagree but the difficulty is finding a scrum half. Moore may be up to it I don't know but unfortunately quality scrom halves are as rare as rocking horse droppings.

| Tommy Lee was and still is a hooker.
Why have we signed Gareth Moore if we're not going to play him? I can't accept this ''not ready for Super League'' crap anymore from anyone. Not fans, not coaches, not anyone. How long did Leeds take to decide Danny McGuire was ready for Super League, how long did Wigan take to decide Sam Tomkins was ready for Super League?
If we've signed a player as a Super League club to play Super League level, throw him in and see what he's got. We'll never know while ever he's playing in the reserves week in week out. I'm fed up of all this safe play from Kear. Take some chances FFS!

| If Moore comes in and looks the bizzo, or at least as good as we've got, we will be in a much stronger position with tommy and jules rotating at 9.
Tommy has been one of our more consistent players and deserves a run at his preferred position after what he's done out of position for the team.
I'd go Wildie and Moore In the halves Lee at 9 and Rinaldi off the bench.

| If we're that deperate for a SH, and we are, I don't understand why we can't give Moore a go. The only reason can be JK doesn't think he's ready yet.
There doesn't appear to be anyone out there who we could bring in, even short term.

| We've got to be thinking about bringing Moore in now. With the greatest respect we have a number of players who are 'not ready for Super League' so throwing Moore in can't do any harm. Lets face it creatively it can't get any worse.

JK said at that meeting last week that Moore was not ready and that the player was quite happy to play in the reserves for the time being to get used to the structures and the players and so on, perhaps now is the time to show us if he's ready.

Again with the greatest of respect to all involved how long can it take to learn our structures? If Moore plays he will be creating our structures. Can't see any harm in throwing him in it will be a bit like sink or swim but if he has the arrogance that some have suggested then he should be alright.

A SH who is not ready yet is surely a better option than a hooker who will never be ready ?, come on JK we have all seen him play, i have seen him many times since the NR cup final last year at Blackpool and he will offer more options than Tommy Lee, he will give the team direction and allow Lee to do what he does best and allow Rinaldi to work around the rook and offer more attacking options ?. By the time he is ready it will be too late, Hickey arrived late last week and he's looking to start on friday, Moore has been at Wakey a lot longer knows the sctructures, players, game plans ? Come on JK and Beans why buy a SH and play a Hooker in his place ?????

It is about building up playing relationships with others, the coach putting across his ideas, other players learning how he likes to play, him learning their preferences too. Creating playing structures isn't easy mid-season when you have a Sunday to Friday turn around, especially when there are other players in and out of the side due to injuries, form etc...
One thing that is key is getting a player/s who can organise defence as much/more than as anything in attack. Twenty points yesterday 'could' have been enough to win that game had we not conceded so many soft tries due to our lack of a sliding defence, the inability to close down overlaps two or three plays ahead of the try being scored. Catalans love to hug the touchline with their Wingers, and we weren't savvy enough to learn that throughout the game.
It is one thing us blaming the ref for his inability to control a game, but the ref didn't let in any tries - even if some seemed like forward passes. That is always going to be the case, some for us, some against us. No conspiracy.
A loud vocal full back in the style of Wellens, an organising half back like Briers or Brough, those are the values in which we need to emulate - players who can get the others forming an effective defensive line, and not bunching up ineffectively. Now I know those players aren't available, but the knowledge is in the game to get players developed to be able to control and organise a team's defensive line.

Agree Wildie and Hyde will be good players in time, Moore has played a larger amount of games at a higher level than both of them, we need a leader on the pitch, and Moore has the attitude to do that , he reminds me of Brough in many ways, and it will also improve and allow players like Wildie and Hyde to learn off the likes of Lee when he adopts his natural position, Moore is a natural SH, Lee is a natural Hooker like Wildie

Indeed there appears to be no structures to learn. No depth to the attack and standing starts for the props meaning little yardage gained.
The players have bust a gut for the side, but tactically I think they are being let down. They are having to work so hard for every little inch it's no surprise they look knackered towards the end of the game.
Either its a deliberate ploy to play one man rugby or JK doesn't think the present players are capable anything else.

It does seem that a number of us on the terraces can see these glaringly obvious things week in week out but nothing seems to change. IMO that is down to the coaching staff. Players running on to the ball from deep and support options are basics of the game and should be able to be adopted by anyone.
Catalans may had had Dureau yesterday, but all their players were playing at a different speed to us, running on to the ball and creating space for other players and then exploiting the gaps. These are things that we could do even without a creative half and against the lesser sides it would certainly create more breaks and scoring opportunities and would even give the better sides something to think about.
Everything we do is far too slow and esay to read. Again this is for the coaching staff to address.

I would agree that the players we have are not capable of playing an expansive style of rugby. As hard as Tommy Lee is trying, he doesn't have that creative spark we are crying out for. Moore may be the answer, but until we find out I think one man rugby is our strongest option.
