| I think most wakey and Cas fans think that one day this will happen. Makes sence these days, only fossles like me hope it does not. RW has told Cas fans not in so many words that they have no money yet to build a ground with.

It will happen one day - but only when the two boards get together and discuss a long term plan that will produce a viable club and business that all fans in the area can get behind and support. Problem over the last few years is that, at any given time, either Cas or or Trinity fans have felt that it's being foisted on them from a position of strength/superiority by the other club.
Back ot - just brilliant that the owner of the club thinks it's important to keep supporters up to date and informed. The message isn't always that important, but the fact that stakeholders are being kept informed creates a reaally +ve vibe. Communication is vital - I hope it continues.

| But why at the begining of the statement say that the club are not concentrating souly on NM, then list a number of alternatives and then revert back to discussing the NM project which previously was stated as being something which you have little control over at the moment.
Not the clearest of statments i am sure you would agree

It's a statement, which after what we have usually had before is a vast improvement

| A groundshare is a non-starter either at Newmarket or glasshoughton. Neither clubs fans want it and whoever was the perceived 'away' side would wither away and die. Put it this way from my personal point of view if it was a choice of either watch wakey at GH or watch no rugby, then no rugby it would be. Doubt i'd be alone either and many cas fans would feel the same at NM.

He says Newmarket is Plan A which means to anyone with half a brain cell that they must have to other plans and low and behold, he tell you about some alternative plans, but goes back to discussing Plan A because it is Plan A! How anyone could read anything more into that statement, other than exactly what it said, is beyond me!
As for time frames I think he is unwilling to comment because it remains possible that things outside the clubs control (and others control) could still change that BUT, we are hearing that the public hearings have been tacitly scheduled for later this year (and normally a decision comes three to four months following this) and also the LDF is scheduled to be completed to be ratified and approved by the full council in March 2012. The LDF is on quite a defined and reasonably rigid time line and the chances of this being delayed more than a couple of months, never mind a long time beyond this are very slim. The chances are by March/April 2012 the future of Newmarket will be known... of course, we can't say with any certainty what the outcome of both process will be yet and that is the of course the £20m question!

Must have taken a lesson out of your book in how to use the English language.
Or were you just in a rush. May wish to check what you write before attempting an insult.

| A communication strategy from the club brief to the point and covers lots of areas. The chairmans update looks like a regular feature in the making.
