Tansey hasn't the reputation that fed Cooke for a few seasons. If he came, he'd have to work for a living and keep his nose clean. I'd have him, on an option to get shot the moment he stepped out of line.

True but that would be an option difficult to enforce once he has a contract or are you suggesting that would be a clause in his contract?

He could be on a pay-as-you-play or similar, the same as Moore and Bibey. We didn't do badly out of those 2, did we?

A week ago, I said no; today, I'd say yes, with the same caveat you've suggested.

If he is going to salvage his RL career, he could do worse than a season with us where he works hard and keeps his nose clean; shop window and all that.

Aparently keeping his nose clean was one of the issues at Hull from what i have heard but i may be wrong.

Both parties are not exactly overflowing with options for the season. This is the type of signing that we're likely to see as the squad is replenished.

He turned up for training at Hull newted more than once apparantly, Fc have been tight lipped on it to us fans but rumours all point towards a serious drink problem. You cant make someone stop boozing and he chooses to booze rather than be a professional sportsman! I think he'd be trouble no matter where he went, he's not the example you want around the clubs young, impressionable players!

Thats pretty close to the truth. I wouldn't say he has a drink problem, but he certainly drinks too much for a professional sportsman.

He still lives in Leeds and goes out on the ale with his mates there so would need watching carefully if he signs for you guys.

Has he learned his lesson? I don't know, but I do know that he was given every chance by Hull to mend his ways before they got rid.

On the positive side, on his day he can be a great attacking threat and scored some really good tries for us.

I doubt it he was arrogant and cocky as an amateur, it was said then by one of the coaches at the club he played for that if he did change his attitude he would never be the player he could be. By the looks of it the coach was right.

Pay as you play contract would be the only option i'd take him. I doubt he'll change his ways, and this would be the easiest way of getting shut when this episode occurs with us
